IMO this game has some of the most effective music ever put into one. The way it slowly lowers in pitch as the world disappears into clouds of radiation is deeply haunting.

game looks very intriguing but my only concern is, it seems that no matter what in this game, EVERYBODY launches nukes at one point and seems to obliterate all involved = game over. What's the real replay value or variety to the game? Does a typical game like this last roughly 6 minutes every time? Or is there more to it.

@bonorye The only reason it's lasting six minutes is that he's got the game set to maximum speed. There's a variety of modes, such as Diplomacy and Speed Defcon which do alter the way the game plays out, ultimately the goal is to be a sneaky son of a bitch an annihilate the enemy without losing too much yourself. There's a fair bit of replay value because it never plays out the same way twice if you've got a good game going.

Could this be the scariest game ever made? I mean, yeah, the cold war is over, but still. The sterile numbers describing millions of deaths, seeing cities flash out of existence on the board, the music that has the occasional coughing, or quiet sobbing, in the background... it's a little scary.

for those who do not know about this game, it is very fun but more emotionally impacting. Its not hard vs a computer but the whole point is that no one wins everyone loses millions of civilians and cities. The online aspect is the most redeeming value of the game but thats where the dificulty and strategy skyrocket
