I had this since 2005 on my then Nokia 5165 I would normally only register 1 bar however that was deceptive since the booster would hold & amplify the signal as advertised. (I have the Trucker Antenna & all options) My only complaint was that it took the phone about 10 min to "search" for a signal when first booted. I now have a Sony Ericsson J220a which doesn't have a plug for an aux antenna, & the Velcro version isn't ideal, therefore I seldom use it now.
