  • you and i simply haven't the faintest of ideas... facts are facts.

  • If you ignore the environment, don't complain when the environment ignores you.

  • I agree that climate change is irrelevant and we do need to change our dependence on oil. We need to focus on real pollutants such as sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, and other toxic pollutants. Taxing carbon dioxide is ridiculous and most definitely not going to improve the environment. The rich will get richer and the rest of us will go broke. And in the process the wealthy get us to give up more of our freedom with the new laws. Read the suggested Copenhagen treaty. Can you say liberty gone!

  • Communism im sick of these enviromentalists

  • If human carbon emissions were going to literally destroy the planet and kill everybody, the appropriate thing to do would be to make it illegal. Instead they are creating a tax and trading system that will generate huge amounts of revenue to world and national governments, not to mention Wall Street traders. This fact makes their motivation clear. Reducing emmissions is not the point. They want the money and power and subsequently a lower standard of living for us commoners.

  • @markand4503 we won't have to worry about it too much longer cause the whole thing is in the process of collapsing. They could care less about us commoners, they're just busy trying to figure out how they and their families are going to survive.

  • Well oiled

"Exxonmobil corp., the world's largest crude oil refiner, supports taxing carbon dioxide as the most efficient way of curbing greenhouse gas emissions, its chief executive said.

"As a businessman, it's hard to speak favourably about any new tax, but a carbon tax strikes me as a more direct, more transparent and more effective approach," Rex Tillerson, CEO of the Irving, Texas based company, said Thursday at the Woodrow Wilson international center for scholars in Washington."

  • The decline in temps after 1998 is because of the worldwide chemtrail program. What do you think those planes are doing up there?Well, they're spraying aerosols into the air to make artificial clouds! And clouds reflect sunlight/cool down the surface. But,theres going to be a time where no amount of spraying will work.We cant continue putting all these greenhouse gases into the air without repercussions. And the fact that there are people trying to profit off of this doesnt mean it isnt happening!

  • @mrbrianmccarthy There is no threat of global warming because of man. Global warming happens all the time, and so does global cooling. You warmist continue to use words like unpresendented to describe the earths temps now. Do a little research on your own. Anyone that does will see the MWP was as warm or warmer than today and that the median temps for the last 4000 yrs were as warm as the peak of the MWP. That means the peaks were alot warmer than today...NATURALLY! Game over!

  • @MrOTLChamp Do you work for an oil company or something?Jesus youre retarded.BTW,if we're not having any problems with the climate, then what are all those planes doing creating artificial clouds day after day all over the world?? Sorry bud, your BS wont work with me,I know the score. We are pumping millions of tons of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere ever day,and if you think that doesnt have an effect on the climate, well,I've got a "bridge to nowhere" to sell you up in Alaska.

  • @mrbrianmccarthy Oh no, we have a chemtrail conspiracy! You always get vapor when you add heat to cold like the exhaust from jets at high altitudes. You sure are gullible. You must be young. Let me guess, you're also an Obama suporter.

  • @mrbrianmccarthy Liberalism is a mental disorder and Al Gore did not invent the internet and Bill Clinton did not have sex with that woman.

  • @zzap999 Al Gore never said he invented the internet. He said, "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the internet. I took the initiative in moving forward a whole range of initiatives that have proven to be important......." The republican party has sold out lock, stock and barrel to the interests of the ultra rich. To get votes they lie and distort to get you, who are not adequately informed, to vote against your own interests.

  • @bashia The idiots who put the Messiah in now want him out. So they invent the Tea Party to lessen the Messiah and cause gridlock. The end game is Sarah Palin in the White House. Then what? Every American should take a gun and point it at their families and pull the trigger. Then turn it on themselves. Your're all pathetic.

  • @zzap999 you might have a point there. But there are more positive ways of facing the crisis--survival.

  • @MrOTLChamp well ok trash that if you want, but what how are you going to deny the fact that we've reached peak oil and are now running out? What do we do when there's no oil left to cause global warming. Still remains the fact we need to develop more renewable lifestyles which we aren't doing and it's probably too late.

  • @mrbrianmccarthy sort of right, but global warming will causes extremes in weather, not necessarily warmer weather locally.

  • I am putting my money on the scientist, the climate is changing and it is changing at a rate much higher than normal. If you don't believe this, ask the people of India, Pakistan, Mid-Western US, China the list goes on. Wake Up, before it's too late to help correct this Life Threatening Global Situation...

Man Made god, Not, god Made Man - If the Idiot called god hasn't shown his face by now, he/she/it is not going to save your ass from the devastation we are currently putting ourselves in.

  • @stevethul1 Nice to see a sane post on this topic. So many people just dont want to accept this----

  • @mrbrianmccarthy It's scary and fear has a way of shutting down reason

  • @stevethul1 Nothing really exist. It's all space and atoms and a figment of your imagination. Go ask the Hindus and Buddhists. They will tell you.

  • @stevethul1 Has there ever been a time when the climate didn't change?

  • @MrOTLChamp - The climate is always changing, depending on external conditions such as volcanism. It is known that the rate of climate changes is much slower than we have today. The extra CO2 we put in the atmosphere is one of the major factors for today's accelerated climate change. It's too bad the people making policy are so incompetent.

Man Made god, Not, god Made Man - If we keep going in the direction we are headed, we will need a god to fix all that this Greed Fueled Destruction...

  • @stevethul1 Thats a load of crap. First of all, Co2 has never driven temperatures and it's not doing it now. Co2 only rises after temperatures rise. Second, people like you who are pushing these lies of AGW have to eliminate there being a God. Believing in God, and perpetrating one of the biggest scams on humanity would be hypocritical.

  • @Champlain You should do a bit more study in weather and climate, then do a historical comparison as done by "Real" Climatologists, not some "Fox Propaganda" media organization trying to keep people "Dumb Down". Any normal person can see the changes happening, it's right in front of your face, all you have to do is "Open Your Eyes"...

Man Made god, Not, god Made Man - Reality is, god and religions are a "Crock-A-Shit" and Global Climate Change is for real.

  • @stevethul1 I've done enough studying about climate to know that the so-called smoking gun (co2) has never made temperatures go up. Especially when the level is only about 387ppm. It makes alot more sense that there is a God than Co2 driving temperatures up. For that you really need blind faith. Atleast the bible makes sense, as well as talks about future events that have already come to pass, and or destined to happen.

  • @MrOTLChamp - You should be a comedian, the statements you make are hilarious.

Man Made god, Not, god Made Man - Ignorance can be cured by education and reading books of True Reality, Stupidity is Forever...

  • @stevethul1 You don't have much to say, because Co2 cannot be the culprit you warmist cling too. Co2 has gone from about 250ppm to about 387ppm during the industrial period. Too bad man's contribution is only about 3% of that, for a grand total of about 4ppm over that span. Are trying to say that the 4ppm is whats causing global warming? lol You hypocondriacs are very lame.

  • @MrOTLChamp Shit all these scientists in labs telling a pack of lies for no reason, and Know one or two. Not from the US or Canada are you?

  • @MrOTLChamp The video answers that one.

    watch?v=l6W1KxiLcg8&feature=channel_video_title

  • what does it feel like to be grossly misinformed?? You have your head up your ass if you think our planet isn't suffering from human intervention.

  • @725672567256 Prove me wrong. Prove that man has caused the earth to heat up. lol good luck.

Nobody say's that man hasn't had an effect on the earth, but heating it up is unfounded.

  • @MrOTLChamp 7 billion people... millions of cars, homes and polluting factories, large scale deforestation, melting perma-frost, retreating glaciers, just to name a few. All credible scientists overwhelmingly agree that we have changed the dynamics of our atmosphere, at our own peril! without letting our ego's get in the way, ask yourself this... if we act, and it turns out that you are correct, no harm, no foul. the cost of inaction if scientists are correct would be utterly devastating!

  • @725672567256 "7 billion people... millions of cars, homes and polluting factories, large scale deforestation, melting perma-frost"

This still doesn't prove man has warmed the planet.

    "retreating glaciers"

lol Glaciers have been retreating and growing again for thousands of years. So, your very weak attempt to prove man is warming the earth is pathetic...Just saying it doesn't prove it. Try again.

" if we act, and it turns out that you are correct, no harm, no foul." Bullshit, cont...

  • @725672567256 If the main countries are going to be taxed for Co2, it will crush their economies, which in turn will affect all the little countries that are supported by them to suffer too. Not to mention, it doesn't even make sense that taxing countries like the United States, and giving the money to smaller countries so they may get out of the third world and start needing more fossil fuels and electricity.(which is created from fossil fuels). It's about taxes, not climate change.

  • @MrOTLChamp I don't think i can reason with you, regardless of evidence. Not even economists can predict the outcomes of predictable events, let alone the environment which has prove to be very unpredictable, so you can just quit now with your economic opinion before you start to embarrass yourself any more. I feel sorry for you, you're blinded by some right wing charlatanarian belief that the earth is not undergoing a MAN mADE shift. Get with the fucking times, grow up and accept change.

  • @725672567256 You're a freaken moron. You have no proof of anything you tried to say, and if someone has a different opinion than your spoon-fed idiology then they must right-wing charlatains. No doubt you have listened to your school teachers well. One day you will wake up and figure out how wrong they were, and how all you have been told over the years is total BS. You are the epitomy of a sheeple. Your faith in man and the scientific fraud is astounding. Try some research on your own.

  • @MrOTLChamp Spoon-fed??? lol talk about contradiction yourself. If that's really the case, then yes i am sppon fed to believe that all verified science is complete rubbish, purely because i didn't go out there, get a degree and publish the findings for myself. Do you do your own haircuts? medical procedures? do you question all modes of transport? No, you also, dufus have faith in science except you are too stupid to appreciate certain things. Ask yourself why would people want to >continued

  • @MrOTLChamp why on earth would people and the vast majority of scientists all say that the earths climate is hinging on some sort of runaway effect???? You say taxes, but that's quite a paranoir simplistic view. In fact, i hope you are right and climate change isn't real at all, but sadly i doubt that is the case. Small drops or increases in temperature can have a huge domino effect, whether it is the food chain or arable land, and belive me it will have an effect to millions of lives!!

  • Seriously, i just think you're a total fucking idiot. A nay-sayer, i bet you voted for bush and you think obama was born in kenya and he has ruined americas economy. I'm done wasting ym time on you, you have your opinion, regardless of how unprogressive or false it may be and it's obvious that you aren't willing to accept what verified science has to say.

  • @725672567256 Just wise up and go look at all the fraud involved in government funded science. The IPCC is full of crap and has completely changed reports thats were put together from scientist, as well as kept out scientific reports that didn't coincide with their agenda. Thats a fact. Also, some of the satellite sensors were measuring 10-15 deg too high for as long as 10 yrs, and these "smart" scientist had no clue until a citizen had figured it out and wrote them a letter. cont...

  • @MrOTLChamp i think you have read some false information somewhere along the line and then in doing that indoctrinated yourself into thinking that all science/scientists are biased and corrupt. I feel sad for you if that is the case. I'm sure there are lots of scientists that have been 'overly influenced' by their financial supporters etc but would you believe that there are vast amounts of studies from scientists whom work without an agenda?

  • @725672567256 Don't be delusional. The Ar4 published by the IPCC is suposed to represent the sceintist's opinions. However, many of these scientist said that what they had put in there was changed from ther original report. All their doomsday predictions was based on their computor models, which nearly all of their models have been completely wrong. There is so much misinformation put out there by these organizations that to take them at their word, would be ignorant at best.

  • @MrOTLChamp i don't expect that all of the information is going to be entirely accurate 100% of the time, but i think it would be wise for humanity to be vigilant and be cautionary about how much burn and plunder. Earth has finite resources, everything is connected in one form or another. I certainly don't believe we should just idly sit back and be careless about the situation. You can't argue that recycling and green energy are bad things to implement?? Its always a balance.. economy vs earth

  • @725672567256 So you understand something about Americans. Nobody is against cutting back on pollution, or deforrestation etc. We know thats a problem. But calling Co2 a pollutant, when infact it only represents 386ppm (parts per million) of our atmosphere, and calling it the driving force for temperature change is a bullface lie. You should be thankful for Co2, because without it we would all be dead. I'm sorry you are jealous of Americans and hate Christians, but you need to get over it.

  • @MrOTLChamp i don't dislike jesus at all, but yes most christians are really annoying and ignorant. I'm not jealous of americans, they have done many good and bad things, just the same as any other nation. So how about this mrotlchamp... the permafrost is now melting and methane is a much more potent greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide.. 25x or more in fact. I'm just saying, as always, we have fucked with the planet too much and i (along with most scientists)

  • severely diminishing fish stocks (a huge amount of the human population relies on fish as a staple diet) encroaching deserts, record floods, heat waves, hurricanes, you name it. Is it really a coincidence that it is becoming more severe as time goes by? Even where i live i see many things, the coastline has changed, there are trees lying on the beach that have fallen down, when 10 years ago they were 20 metres in! The ocean swells are smaller here, less rain... everything! it is real my friend

  • @725672567256 Sure methane is a much more of a problem. However, it's cause is natural and hardly anything is from man, so taxing it doesn't help these governments. The majority is being released from the earths crust and from under the oceans, not to mention cows farting. The hurricains that you say are happening, are not really happening.

  • @725672567256 In fact they have deminished greatly. Thats what happens in a warmer enviorment. We are in fact heading into a solar minimum which could put us into an ice age. Thats far more of a problem than a warmer enviorment. Then you will start to see more hurricains. The coast lines have not really changed at all. Just natural erosion.

  • @725672567256 Look at the sea levels for the last few hundred years, its been fluctuating by about 10-20cm. Not something to be worried about. That was al gores doomsday scenario. It's not happening. Don't just believe everything you hear, look it up for yourself. The oceans have only risen about 8" over the last century. You might want to rethink your tree's 20 meters in falling down.

  • @MrOTLChamp you are an absolute peanut. You can't live a hedonsitic lifestlye without repurcussions. Once again, you are a complete dipstick. Shame on your pessimistic outlook but good luck to your 18'th dimensional worldview

  • @725672567256 Speak for yourself. Atleast I've done research and figured out how much fraud has been involved with the IPCC, Hadley CRU and NOAA, NASA, etc. You on the other hand are spoon-fed everything and you eat it up without even knowing what they are saying. Trees 20 meters in falling down due to sea level rising is a joke. 8" in a century( lol )look it up. All that fraud and you still believe everything they say. Pathetic.

  • @MrOTLChamp yes, 20 metres or more.. we used to drive down a track then turn into a parking spot so we could surf... the track that leads to the parking spot does not even exist any more! This is not an isolated case, the coastline has changed dramatically. By the way you pretentious git, i always do my own research and you are the one who is delusional. You're a total fool if you truly believe that it's just another reason to tax and the environment isn't under a real threat

  • @725672567256 8" in a century. Thats it. maybe you have a problem with erosion. But, it sure isn't sea rise being the problem. Try some more of that cool-aid, spoon-fed.

  • @MrOTLChamp nobody is saying the seas has risen, i'm stating that the earth has been impacted by changing weather.... waiiiittt for itttttttttt.... by humans! are you related to george bush by any chance? lol

  • @725672567256 Compaired to obummer, Bush is looking really good. You implied the sea was rising and thats why the tree's were down. You can't show any evidence humans have changed the weather. Man, I hope all people in Australia aren't as spoon-fed as you.

  • @MrOTLChamp Bush is a monkey. Obama hasn't lived up to the hype but he took office in tumultuous times, did he not? anyone who blames the state of u.s economic on obama really has no idea.... i guess that includes you, right?? "you can't show any evidence, humans have changed the weather".... hmmm i guess that most of the hottest, windiest, driest, wettest days in recorded history have happened recently??? Of course we have had those days in the past but not this numerous etc

  • @725672567256 you may call me spoon-fed my ill mannered friend but i don't need to question the validity of science. You are just a conspiracy-theorising, right wing fact denier... i don't mind scepticism but please, again, tell me why independent scientists, publications and organisations ALL stand firm that we have/are altering the environment??? give me one logical reason, if you can...

  • @725672567256 Here's some more logic for you. 1). The satellite NOAA had in space showing us the temps on earth was reading high as much as 10-15 degrees, and the scientist had no clue(suposidly) until a citizen noticed it and wrote a letter to them telling them. NOAA had to scrap all their temp readings for the last ten years. How is it, that the scientist had no idea they were wrong? They are either dumb, or they knew it and were trying to make our planet look like it was getting warmer.

  • @MrOTLChamp Nope: NOAA-16 is a "secondary" satellite in the POES constellation. and it's not incorporated in any of the global mean temperature records. In particular, there is no connection to the satellite microwave temperature analyses by RSS and UAH, which use entirely different sensors operating in a quite different portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. Next.

  • @725672567256 2). Almost 9 out of 10 land based sensors installed by these scientist were installed incorrectly, so that their readings would measure higher than normal. They were installed next to parking lots, on rooftops, and next to the heat exhaust on AC units, etc. All in violation with their own standards created by those same scientist.

  • @MrOTLChamp "so that their readings would measure higher than normal" - wrong again: Independent studies using different software, different methods, and different data sets yield very similar results. The increase in temperatures since 1975 is a consistent feature of all reconstructions. This increase cannot be explained as an artifact of the adjustment process, the decrease in station numbers, or other non-climatological factors.

  • @725672567256 3). Hadley CRU had their emails hacked, and what was found, was that these scientist were keeping scientific journals out of the AR4 report, because it didn't coincide with their belief of AGW. In science, having an agenda completely underminds the basic laws of true science. They are to be completely open to the facts, not elliminate evidence that proves otherwise.

  • @MrOTLChamp A number of independent investigations from different countries, universities and government bodies have investigated the stolen emails and found no evidence of wrong doing. Focusing on a few suggestive emails, taken out of context, merely serves to distract from the wealth of empirical evidence for man-made global warming.

  • @725672567256 There is so much fraud and misuse of science, that anyone just excepting everything they say would be ignorant. I can go on and on, however, I have to get ready to go out of town for a week, for work. But you should really think about the science process and how corrupt it has been. After all, it was just 40 yrs ago that the scientist said we were going into an iceage. How did that work out?

  • @MrOTLChamp some people believe in jesus, i believe in physics. who is right? what does it matter to either of us?? Enjoy your trip..

  • @MrOTLChamp "was just 40 yrs ago that the scientist said we were going into an iceage" 1) 1970s ice age predictions were predominantly media based. The majority of peer reviewed research at the time predicted warming due to increasing CO2.

A survey of peer reviewed scientific papers from 1965 to 1979 show that few papers predicted global cooling (7 in total). Significantly more papers (42 in total) predicted global warming (Peterson 2008).

  • @725672567256 Bush wasn't pefect, But he sure didn't run up our debt 5 trillion dollars, and he wasn't trying to appease the terrorist either. obummer won't even consider the Fort Hood shooter as a terrorist. Maybe because he's really a muslim himself? obummer is a straight up Marxist/socialist, which completely underminds the Capitalist system and the Constitution, forcing us to have government funded healthcare. Most people here didn't want it, and we can't afford it. cont....

  • @MrOTLChamp "government funded healthcare" - please feel free to explain how private healthcare is cheaper than govt healthcare because national health services are cheaper than private in every country that has a national health service. Bush was still in when the financial crisis started. There were more terrorist attacks when Bush was in power.

  • @checkyoursources Feel free to show me where the US government has ever come in at, or below budget?

Our governments estimate for cost of medcaid went over by 9x's the original budget.

Our postal system is over budget by 8 billion a year.

Our school systems are far more expensive than the private Charter schools, not to mention they're better.

There's not 1 entity that the government runs, that would be cheaper than the private sector.

There's far too much waste when the government is involved.

  • @MrOTLChamp Are you not shocked that the US healthcare system gives people a life expectancy only just equal to Chile's national helath service?

In every country with both systems the cost per person is cheaper if the healthcare comes from tax money than if people choose private. The lack of regulation by govt led to the financial meltdown.

  • @checkyoursources " The lack of regulation by govt led to the financial meltdown."

On the contrary. It was the governments involvement with the loan process (namely, lowering the standards needed to qualify for the home loans) that caused the meltdown. Banks were forced to give loans to people that couldn't afford them. In fact, Obama was representing ACORN in a lawsuit against CITIBank, for not lending to these people that didn't qualify. They used race as the leverage to get a settlement.

  • @MrOTLChamp No one can force a bank to lend any money they don't wish to. The door was opened and they took advantage of it simply because of greed. They all knew it was high risk business, yielding extremely high interest rates, but they also knew the tax payers would ultimately cover the losses. Ask the bankers.

  • @checkyoursources " they also knew the tax payers would ultimately cover the losses"

How could have known that, unless the government was in on it? Again you are looking at the end result and not the cause. The cause was government. Quote from Jimmy Carter "everyone should own a home" That little statement started the ball rolling. If you don't think the government has leverage enough to force the banks to do what they want. You're out of your mind. Who insures the bank?....The FED

  • @checkyoursources "Bush was still in when the financial crisis started."

Not true. These sub-prime loans were pushed during the Clinton years and had already started to fail 2 yrs before Bush was in office.(1999) Granted, the bulk failed during his reign, But had nothing to do with Bush. It was the idiots in our Congress (mostly the Democrats) that was in bed with Fannie and Freddie that pushed for these loans. Cont...

  • @checkyoursources These people weren't losing their homes because they didn't have a job. They lost their home when the loan matured and they had to pay the full mortgage. They never made enough money to qualify for these loans in the first place. In fact, Bush went to Congress 17 times during his 8yrs to try and get Fannie and Freddy to fix this problem. Cont....

  • @checkyoursources But Barney Frank and the rest of the gang denied there ever was a problem. (There's even video on Barney denying there is a problem)

After enough of these homes were foreclosed on, it started to affect the building industry, and then people were losing their jobs. You are just looking at the end result, and not understanding that the ball was already in motion. Kind of like how you refuse to look at the fact that the earth was warming far before the industry period started.

  • @MrOTLChamp "you refuse to look at the fact that the earth was warming far before the industry period started" On the contrary I recognise that climate chnage can have many factors that influence it (since the 1970's humans have been the most likely explanation for the majority of warming) and that past changes show that the climate is sensitive. For warming you need a continued driver. What natural factor has driven the majority of warming since the 1970's?

  • @checkyoursources ." What natural factor has driven the majority of warming since the 1970's?"

Lets look at the other side of that statement. Seeing how you are blaming the supposed, unwarranted warming since the 70's on CO2. And without a doubt, CO2 has continued to climb each year. Since it supposedly was causing the warming starting in the 70's. Why is it not causing any warming, anymore?

  • @MrOTLChamp "Why is it not causing any warming, anymore?" 1) There is a warming trend which is why every single decade since the 1970's has been warmer than the previous one.

    2) If you are correct about cooling then it should be easy for you to name a single global dataset that shows net cooling since the 1970's?

p.s. HADcrut, NOAA, NASA all show warming decade on decade since the 1970's

  • @checkyoursources Where exactly would you like to start you temps from?

You say from the 70's. It was actually coolest in 85. So from 75 to 85 the temps went down. The last decade doesn't show any warming. In fact, it clearly shows no warming at all. And by the time we got to Dec 2011 we were only .2 deg. warmer than the median temps in the mid 70's. -UAH Dec 2011

  • @MrOTLChamp WMO 2011: Over the ten years from 2001 to 2010, global temperatures have averaged 0.46°C (0.83°F) above the 1961-1990 average, and are the highest ever recorded for a 10-year period since the beginning of instrumental climate records. 2) UAH -November 2011 +0.123C the anomaly is approximately +0.376C above the 1961-1990 time period used by the Met Office and WMO. UAH Dec 2011: +0.13 deg. C 3) median and mean are not the same. Next.

  • @725672567256 So, I guess since you havn't seen weather like this is your short life time, it must be caused by man. LMAO Do you even realize how little scientist know about our atmosphere? Scientist can't even excplain gravity. All they know is that," it is". Did you know that of all the scientist that have ever lived, 90% of them are still alive? cont....

  • @MrOTLChamp "Scientist can't even excplain gravity. All they know is that," it is"." Seeing as you are deeply religious your explanation for everything that you can't explain is "a sky fairy did it". I prefer science, at least it grows better from it's mistakes. Religion keeps on making the same ones. None of the natural factors studied can explain the majority of warming since the 1970's better than AGW.

  • @725672567256 Are you dumb enought to think that these "smart" scientist had no clue that their sensors were that far off and didn't know? Thats insane! Keep in mind that the UN also disconnected itself from the IPCC because everyone knows they are full of crap. There is enough fraud involved with this science, that anyone just taking for granite that these guys are all telling the truth is stupid. cont....

  • @725672567256 The hacked e-mails were also showing an agenda in keeping out reports that didn't show man was causing global warming. It's all a scam. Follow the money. Take a real good look at how much money is involved and who stands to gain from it. And don't be stupid about it. And remember this...They say that Co2 is the driving force for tempature rise and man is causing it. cont....

  • @725672567256 So the fix is to tax the United States for contributing to Co2, and give the money to lesser countries so they can evolve out of the third world and become bigger users of fossil fuels, which will then lead to more Co2 going into the atmosphere. If it wasn't about just taxing the greatest country on earth, then why are they not even considering China as the main polluter? China would be far more destructive to the atmosphere than the US. Get a clue.

  • China may have recently become an enormous polluter but that doesn't change the fact that america has been responsible for most of the pollution in the previous century. Ever heard the phrase "with great power comes great responsibility?" I swear you know nothing at all, have you ever heard of the copenhagen summit? You seem to be deluded into thinking that only america will have to pay tax and change it's ways and cough up for the rest of the world...

  • .... You are really smart.... I guess your religion is the earth

  • @stevethul1 MAaybe if you weren't so busy preaching the lies of AGW, you might have noticed that NOAA has admitted that their satellites were reading 10-15 degrees higher than what was reality Now they have scrapped all there reported temps for the last 10 yrs. (SATELLITEGATE) If it weren't for someone in the public checking their information we might have not ever known. Hard to believe the scientist that are supposed to be so smart didn't figure it out first. Can you say F R A U D?

  • @MrOTLChamp that's a pointless statement, it is not relative to key points in diverting our modern cicrumstances. Of course the environment changes over long periods of time (relative to our species lifespans and general existence). What you are attempting to say is 'the environment changes, it's probably not humans that have affected the environment, so who's cares?'. I say that is a very poor attitude.

  • Somethin screwy's going on... I don't blame ALL scientists, but now I wonder..

  • @Abelhawk Scientists are human, and they can be bought out/threatened just like anyone else.Anyone scientist that is telling you that there is no global warming happening has most likely been bought off by the energy companies & the military. After all,who stands to lose the most if we start to move away from oil? The energy companies--AND the military. Not to mention our whole economy which is based on petroleum based products.

  • @mrbrianmccarthy I'm kind of getting sick of coming here to reply to posts. Forget I said anything about stupid Global Warming.

  • @mrbrianmccarthy Yeah, and all of us should just walk 15 to 50miles to work. That will definitely speed up the economy and make us more efficient.

  • Harvard University has said all man's emissions ahve been taken in by green plants. No man-made CC possible - go study high school biology!

  • Our mainstream media is very dangerous these days

  • There has been no increase in free CO2 in teh air due to man

  • @JonThm : SOURCE????

    Sources showing man-related CO2 increase:

    - IEA

    - DOE EIA

    - Shell

    - BP report

    - CDIAC

    - OECD

    - measurement at Mauna Loa

    - isotopic analysis

  • No CC

  • money, tax, debt, control, brain washing equals sheep. a dvd called ring of power has alot of information.........al gore won a noble peace prize, least the people running the nwo have a sense of humor... all we need to do is find peace in our minds.....

  • @thedarkageisnow it's hard to find peace in our minds when we're starving

  • well ice cubes song is fake?

"if i fuck up the planet aint nothing to it gansta rap made me do it." (shows a big ice chunck falling to the ocean like one of those global warming vids

  • Pulling the rug again! During the early 70s while people went through layoffs and gas rationing, Coke ran veggie pita ads to save the planet, & cloud seeding tests were being run. Now we have Corp./Gov.& main media on steroids; climate manipulation is now a refined science. Warm or cold; what is the true cause? Climate manipulation, or is Gore narrowing your mind with recorded data. Climate science is NOT exact, hence a preemptive water, land, tax/$ grab- Salazars order 3285!

  • Just making corporations spend some money on green activities would make the american economy grow. I do not believe in global warming necessarily but good honest work I believe in. These kind of jobs will feed many and feed them often. Buy american!

  • @artdrawsyou And the boogie man is right on you ass like white on rice. Run you scared basterd. Ok now let's get down to cleaning up our enviornment right here in the good old USA where families can work again. Exxon, Chevron and Shell have more money than God after 8 years of Bush and Cheney.

  • I see my previous comments readily provoke insults but alas so far no new information from the big lie camp. Surely some of you read books and periodicals on this subject that you find compelling. Since I dont share this point of view, I am very curious to see what kind of quality material others can point me to.

  • @username911911 Don't even bother, i came to the conclusion that these people choose to believe GW is a hoax. You have to take into account that these people are posting straight out of their trailers and have hardly anything meaningful happening so they choose to believe they are fighting a massive conspiracy. Makes their dull existence much more exciting.

  • In fact, global warming would be beneficial for the planet even if humans could cause it.

The reality is that the arctic ice is being melted by geothermal energy from below. On the other hand, Antarctica mass has grown significantly this past decade.

  • Lets not forget that historical records from past civilizations have mentioned changing climate.

  • Username is a naive little shit.

There is a whole industry that needs government monies to survive. That would be the climate change pseudo-science group.

The whole premise behind the climate change guys is a host of math models that do not correlate with empirical data.

Sorry, the hoax is real. But I'll change my mind if the government sends money my way to write an article.

  • @mattlong600 The problem with your logic is that they do correlate with empirical data. If you bothered to actually read any science books you would see this aswell.

The problem with people thinking GW is a hoax is that it is easily refutable, but since the deniers are pandering to highschool dropouts they eat it up.

  • @Runesocesius Real scientists don't look at "science books" to get data. They do the measurements themselves and find it goes against your "science books". Liberals and tree huggers hang out at bookstores a little bit too long and believe everything they read.

  • @zzap999 They do the measurements themselves that books are written based on what was discovered. I thought this was obvious. Im certainty not saying you should believe everything you read, but i sure as hell am not making stuff up just because i don't 'like' what is the consensus.

  • @zzap999 And please, how does it go against the science books if 99% of scientists believe in GW. I guess, you just arbitrary know that 1% is right... right.

  • @Runesocesius 99% don't believe in man made GW. 99% don't believe that the ocean will swallow up all the continents. 99% don't believe that tornadoes will throw all of us up into space orbit. 99% don't believe that the earth will turn into Venus. etc. etc.

  • @zzap999 Well you got one wrong in 4. Congratz.

  • What I would like to see from those who insist on the big lie of global warming, is any reputable source which shows that 40 years of earth sciences are not showing the collapse of marine life and the disappearing of glaciers at an historically unusual pace. Dont cite it unless you actually read it, understood it, and accept it as a cornerstone in your argument. I will read it. If all you have is bald claims of unsavory motives, do not respond.

  • Climate change fear-mongering is a big lie. It is the sun that has being made to burn hotter causing the oribiting planets especially of the poles mostly facing the sun to become warmer. Ask thyself, Who is in control of the sun, and for what reason is the sun generating more, and more heat? Does the rejection of God ring a bell. Climate change is a deceptive tactic like pandemics, and terrorism, all created to ultimately impose a One World Government a.k.a. New World Order [NWO].

  • omg you are a looney tooney. The sun isn't generating more heat. These e-mails are using statements taken way out of context. Where were they downloaded? Russian servers. All the systems in the world, including in our body are set up to obtain a state of equilibrium. When our population is using so much of the world's resouces, killing off so many species, it only make SENSE that the earth will work to maintain it's equilibrium. And that may mean by reducing our populations. So watch out.

  • @bashia

there's more sunspots that shoots radiation heat. you should read all the suspect emails yourself, and make an honest assessment of the data, then come back and say the same thing, with a straight face

  • @bashia

so your one of the kill yourself for the planet,i'll go if you go,then i'll say loser

  • @bashia The sun has heat cycles.

  • I am sure tooney99 can provide the definitive study of how the increase of heat from the sun explains the current pattern of climate change. Please forward it to the scientists in Copenhagen, I am sure they will be most gratified to gain your valuable insights on this subject.

  • "who controls the sun"

    noone

"why is the sun getting hotter"

all stars get hotter throughout their life, its the sun's life cycle

"rejection of god ring a bell"

which god. the god of christianity has only been around for at most 6000 years. if your theory held true, then the other 94000 or so years that man has been on the earth should have been just a massive heat wave. god is dead

    "NWO"

    how scary

  • @collieh1 If God is dead then why did they build a CERNS super collider to find Him?

  • "Climate change is happening" . Okay we can see that, does that mean its all out fault? No of course not its simply a natural cycle of the earth i.e. another ice age etc...

  • It's a lie (global warming) no different from the other lie(evolution)

  • Global climate change is irrelevant and inconsequential. Conserve, reduce, get off fossil fuels and adopt renewable energy now REGARDLESS of climate change!

  • @thermalf Just keep replanting trees and you will have an endless amount of carbon fuel to burn.

  • true but we dont want to get too david suzukily I dont really like enviromentalist they are annouying and have the earth as there religion

  • It is far easier to find flaws in any science and to show data does not explain everything, than to provide alternate theories that give compelling explanations of actual events. Earth scientists have been making observations of climate change in the oceans and glaciers over 40 years now, and they are horrified by developments. Try to explain away the collapse of marine life and disappearing glaciers as a scientific fraud if you can. But dont imagine that finding false data invalidates all

  • @username911911

false data will hopefully start an investigation.the climate has been changing all along, hotter, colder etc.mans contribution to Co2 is minimal compared to volcanic eruptions,do we tax them? sunspots release more heat, should we tax them also?

  • two points - if academics use false data, then can and should be held accountable in public forums. When various disciplines in the earth sciences maintain an overwhelming agreement in the symptoms of a looming disaster, does it matter that the actual diagnosis be a matter of complete agreement? Or, like any good doctor do we start to worry the death of our patient and look for possible treatment. By the way, if you have a reputable scientific source for your counter-argument, I would read it.

  • @username911911

31,000 scientific sources smart guy.your not in the majority, your in the minority.there is a majority of those who believe that doctored science lie.tell a lie long enough, and people will believe it

  • @username911911 Climate change and other factors have been killing off animal life for thousands of years way before man built SUVs.

  • the tree rings show the world is getting colder - forget the temperatrue measurements. that makes sense?

  • Robert Gibbs told it like it is. See, what matters is the fact that most people believe in AGW. It makes absolutely no difference that the reason they believe is based on fraudulent science.

  • climate change is a hoax

  • The main stream media needs to do their jobs and investigate all these people. And not in the climate change issue. In every facet of your society, they need to get off their collective asses and investigate --

  • Excuse me, but the main culprit in all this is the main stream media kissing up and salivating for the Obamas of the world. It is Obama World.

Lay blame at Bush for not being more conservative but Liberal and "Progressives" are the reason most of these inept policies and failings of our government.

  • You don't have a PHD in eviornmental change. So why should anyone believe you? Regardless of opinion why make this an issue against scientist that are on both sides. You really think scientists can be bought off that easy. I think alot of these scientist believe in their lifes work.

  • They believe so much in it that they are willing to lie even if the data shows they are wrong evidently. Or is it that they fear they won't get continued funding? Whichever, same result. Science you can't rely on to be non-biased. Anyway, no global warming. Earth is cooling as expected. So the point is mute unless they continue to try to get US funding. Of course we are still going to extradite and prosecute them for the fraud.

  • You do not know who is lying. Many scientists believe that the CO2 level now is higher than ever in history. 250-400ppm now and 150-180 throughout our previous existence. And you believe in 8 year old e-mails. These scientists have been doing research all through Bush's administration. And Bush appointed oil execs as enviornmentalist. They would not know a layer of smog from a chemical release from a tank farm in the petro-chemical industry. Bush even grandfathered old EPA laws in.

  • @jay123jd

and slobama apointed many unqualified people!

anyone that still believes in that science is little green men from mars, and should go back--not a racist statement.

if it is investigated we'll all find out the truth.if i'm wrong i'll apologize

  • You are wrong. We have gone backwards on envioronmental issues and controls. But we cannot go forwards unless laws are passed now to change the grandfathered laws that Bush and his cronies put into place in 2001. Refineries right here in Texas are abiding by envioronmental laws from the mid 90's. Alot of work for Americans were lost because of these grandfathered laws. We all know Oil companies made the largest profits ever in the history of mankind under republicon rule. How rich can they get?

  • So how is giving Americans jobs from the richest companies on the planet and everybody getting a little cleaner water or better air hurting John Q Public. Inflation is fine as long as jobs and salaries go up with inflation. You guys are shooting yourselves in the foot by trying to nix climate change and the jobs that could go with it. Estimated 2 million jobs. More taxes to pay for social security and medicare. It is a no brainer but you conspiracy freaks will not let it rest. Crybabies!

  • @jay123jd

yea, pollution has become less a factor in the world because of restrictions, but we need more.i don't like anything bush did, there are many things that need to be overturned.nafta took most of our jobs overseas.

  • I agree about NAFTA and CAFTA but I also know jobs in my hometown were stopped as soon as W. stepped into office. The oil apolagist grandfathered EPA laws so they were consistant to laws passed in the early 90's. And then we see big oil make the highest windfall revenue in their history. Big Oil did not eliminate pollution on their own. The feds have an EPA to mandate laws. But Bush bypassed the EPA standards. Something in me sees greed being a roadblock to jobs.

  • I only have so much time on this earth and if more people are working we all do not have to work so hard to keep food on the table for everybody else. They will be putting food on their own table and the little mouths they have to feed. People are going to get profit on the backs of people like me period. I already know what republicons have taken out of my ass. And it ain't pretty. And the job situation ain't a whole lot better since Bush left this country in a depressive state.

  • @jay123jd

what lower case w.and his minions will be nothing compared to oboner with erectile dysfunction if he signs that treaty.utilities will raise 30 to 50 %.china is the only producer of something called dirty mud,it's very toxic.they refine it for industrial windmills and in batteries for electric cars.slobama is talking about over riding the congress and senate, and just sign the treaty anyway.

  • Dude the sky is falling the sky is falling. hehehe If it does fall on me I will try to get out of the way until then go scare grandma and her friends at the bridge table.

  • @jay123jd

i think gramma and her posie done strapped on their sendem to hell outfits, they have one for you too

  • so did this one

  • @jay123jd

your right that greed is why the housing bubble busted, they had to see it coming years ago,but they were getting rich from it and didn't want it to end.now boner takes our tax dollars to pay bonuses to all those bankers that got us in this mess.bernanki cant account for the

2 trillion they printed up.the dollar will fail

  • Yea and how much money can we account for in Iraq that we gave to those fucking ragheads and private contractors when our own military could have cleaned their clocks in alot less than 8 fucking years and counting with a draft. If the dems keep doing what they are doing we ani't gonna fail anytime soon. The only failures I have seen was nearly my whole fucking life ran by republicons and their never ending desire to take everything that was not tied down. And they continue to fail.

  • Comment removed

  • that one did

  • @bashia

that had been a test of the emergency broadcasting nwo network

    that was only a test

  • Clean enviornment will translate to more families having a job.

  • How much money did Exxon rake in under Bush and his cronies? We need clean air and water for our grandchildren and so on and so on.

  • Some people are too frightened to face reality so they jump on the most convenient bandwagon to prevent having to face implicit danger. Minds shut down.
