u just stick em both in, the mem stick first, then the battery, u need to push x to start the install, after that bowt 4 - 8 mins it will have installed the new firmware, also think of it this way, if u screw it up and brick your psp, u can use the pandora battery and the magic memory stick to unbrick th psp, just youtube unbrick with pandora its easy as pie
YES, all you need is a Pandora Battery and a Magic Memory Stick, BUT..... make sure whoever you get them from knows your PSP model (older phat model or newer slim model) and what firmware version is installed on your PSP. Make sure the battery and mem stick works with your PSP and firmware. They are all not compatible. Most of the newer batts and mem sticks ARE compatible though.

to play w/o no umd
go to ur recorvery mode (turn the psp off completely and hold R and turn it on again)
go to configurations and go to umd mode and put no umd. now u can play without a umd
