Jesus spoke of helping Brothers in the christian brotherhood then help others in need but Jesus said the greatest gift is everlasting life and that is by the preaching work. One thing is that JW spends more money preaching to give people everlasting life now or after. But giving a person physical needs and not spiritual they will again only eternal death. Believe in this lie and you only gain death John says this means everlasting life taking the knowledge of the true God. Not food no knowledge.

WE do the GREATEST service to mankind by helping people to learn about God. They give up drunkeness, drugs, cigarettes, gambling, and a slew of other bad habits. We teach moderation and being sensible. Millions have BENEFITED. People donate to the WT just as much as people of any other religion donate to their religion. We do help people. We were the first to arrive in Haiti and give aid to people. We help in crisis'. We do show love and care. WE donate TIME and MONEY in educating people :D=LOVE

We also help each other when when someone needs help, as the bible says you will know my people by the love they have among themselves. Also, we have missionaries that give up their lives to Jehovah to go to these poverty striken to help give hope & love and also go to dangerous where the work is banned so all will know that Jehovah hears them.

I agree with you. I was homeless with my hildren and they refused to even actknowledge the situation. When I questioned it they said that if they helped people they would be earning rice christians. However I've never heard of them asking for money or sending in their jewelry.

Most charities are run by other religious organizations. something Jehovah's witnesses are taught to avoid association with other religious organizations. Not helping your neighbor is frowned upon among the witnesses.
I am not a particular fan of supplying consumables (or even tools) to the poor, like food, water, medicine.
A Major problem with our civilization is that earth is overpopulated. By helping (feeding, medically treating) the poor, it is helping them to grow more people, which not only makes the people poor again, but makes the world even more populated, straining our resources even more.
However, I AM in favor of education; especially with regards to sustainability and critical thinking.

Read Acts 5:42, "...from house to house they continued ..declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus." Acts14:21,"...making quite a few disciples,..." Light is not getting brighter. The lies are being forgotten. Yes I am very old. I was a witness for too many decades. I've been around long enough to remember the misinformation. Truth getting brighter- the witnesses are getting dumber. Now about the poor. Jehovah's Witnesses do not give to the poor unless on special occassion they give to another witnesse. There are a lot of very needy witnesses who are forgottened, not only physically, but spiritually. So sad.

My daughter is one of Jehovah's Witnesses, however the other one is not. The one who is not had to leave her husband with her 3 small children because there was literally nothing to eat...........why? Because he spent the money on alcohol and expensive lunches, clothes and golf equipment. She had nothing as he wouldn't let her even have clothes out of the home, must less her clothes!!!! More than a $1 BILLION was donated to Haiti to provide for immediate emergency needs. After a year, $700 still sits off-shore waiting for the governement to prove they will not divert the funds to other uses. In comparison, Jehovah's Witnesses were building modest homes and providing medical care and food to their brothers WITHIN DAYS. We KNOW it will be used honestly and immediately. All aid agencies know of our reputation for honesty and politicaly neutral efforts. We just don't brag about it.

The author seems to be in the dark on this subject. Jehovah's Witnesses DO help when there are disasters or events which temporarily induce life-threatening /unforseen disasters and in those cases 100% of the donations go the those in need. Of course, Jesus did not command that work. The fact that there is constant need globally only highlights the failure of human governments to provide mans needs & the need for His Kingdom (Matthew 6:9,10). So, we focus on Matthew 28:19,20 as Jesus commanded.
@frd889 Jesus didn't consider his primary responsibility to feed everyone. When there was a need, of course, he fed those who had come to hear his message, "the good news of the kingdom" (Matt 6), not to reinforce or encourage support of failing human methods. We look after our own, of course but not exclusively. We know where our brothers are because we are close to them. As with Jesus, those who respond to his message are our primary concern.
I ask you again... Did Jesus feed th whole world or those who made the journey to hear his teachings?

Jesus fed those who were willing to 'LEAVE HOME' and family and journey days away to hear him and LISTEN to his message about the Kingdom....
Where is the command to build hospitals, feed the World, clothe all the naked.... Where in the BIBLE says that, not your 'human heart' which is corrupt...

Jesus spoke of helping Brothers in the christian brotherhood then help others in need but Jesus said the greatest gift is everlasting life and that is by the preaching work. One thing is that JW spends more money preaching to give people everlasting life now or after. But giving a person physical needs and not spiritual they will again only eternal death. Well I was born and raised a JW. I was a pioneer for 4 years and at Bethel for 6. I served at every level of the organization. I know what JW churches are called. But you calling me stupid and a devil worshipper just proves that I made the right decision to leave the Publishing Scam known as Jehovah's Witnesses. WE do the GREATEST service to mankind by helping people to learn about God. They give up drunkeness, drugs, cigarettes, gambling, and a slew of other bad habits. We teach moderation and being sensible. Millions have BENEFITED. People donate to the WT just as much as people of any other religion donate to their religion. We do help people. We were the first to arrive in Haiti and give aid to people. We help in crisis'. We do show love and care. WE donate TIME and MONEY in educating people :D=LOVE

OMG, you are sooo misinformed. When there is natural disaters we volunteer our time, money & skills not only to our people, but our fellow neighbor. We also help each other when when someone needs help, as the bible says you will know my people by the love they have among themselves. Also, we have missionaries that give up their lives to Jehovah to go to these poverty striken to help give hope & love and also go to dangerous where the work is banned so all will know that Jehovah hears them.

I agree with you. I was homeless with my hildren and they refused to even actknowledge the situation. When I questioned it they said that if they helped people they would be earning rice christians. However I've never heard of them asking for money or sending in their jewelry.

They helped me to get off drugs,cigarettes and out of a very sad immoral life and never asked for one cent. I am not a particular fan of supplying consumables (or even tools) to the poor, like food, water, medicine.
A Major problem with our civilization is that earth is overpopulated. By helping (feeding, medically treating) the poor, it is helping them to grow more people, which not only makes the people poor again, but makes the world even more populated, straining our resources even more.
However, I AM in favor of education; especially with regards to sustainability and critical thinking.

3. You can teach people how to grow crops, give them tools to grow crops (which I don't have nearly as much of an issue as consumables), and even teach those who may die, but best to keep to ones that are poor but not on the verge of death.
If you put such a high priority in feeding, why do you have a computer instead of spending the money to feed? you don't need one.

Read Acts 5:42, "...from house to house they continued ..declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus." Acts14:21,"...making quite a few disciples,..." My daughter is one of Jehovah's Witnesses, however the other one is not. The one who is not had to leave her husband with her 3 small children because there was literally nothing to eat...........why? Because he spent the money on alcohol and expensive lunches, clothes and golf equipment. She had nothing as he wouldn't let her even have clothes out of the home, must less her clothes!!!! The witnesses BOUGHT her pots and pans, dishes, silverware, clothing for her children, soap, shampoo etc

Repentance is a turning around from a wrong or incorrect course and following the correct one, is it not? When an individual in does this in ANY Christendom church system they are usually commended for having done so, right?

More than a $1 BILLION was donated to Haiti to provide for immediate emergency needs. After a year, $700 still sits off-shore waiting for the governement to prove they will not divert the funds to other uses. In comparison, Jehovah's Witnesses were building modest homes and providing medical care and food to their brothers WITHIN DAYS. We KNOW it will be used honestly and immediately. All aid agencies know of our reputation for honesty and politicaly neutral efforts. We just don't brag about it.

The author seems to be in the dark on this subject. Jehovah's Witnesses DO help when there are disasters or events which temporarily induce life-threatening /unforseen disasters and in those cases 100% of the donations go the those in need. Of course, Jesus did not command that work. The fact that there is constant need globally only highlights the failure of human governments to provide mans needs & the need for His Kingdom (Matthew 6:9,10). So, we focus on Matthew 28:19,20 as Jesus commanded.

@frd889 Jesus didn't consider his primary responsibility to feed everyone. When there was a need, of course, he fed those who had come to hear his message, "the good news of the kingdom" (Matt 6), not to reinforce or encourage support of failing human methods. We look after our own, of course but not exclusively. We know where our brothers are because we are close to them. As with Jesus, those who respond to his message are our primary concern.
