I am a Rangers fan But Al was clearly one of the finest coaches around. Like he said in one of his video's, Tough Love is very Hard.
I remember when he benched Butch Goring to send a message to the Islander team.
Great man also.

I'm not even an Islanders fan but Ive always respected the work Al did as a coach. Great coach and an even better individual. Classy all the way.
