i am glad that you appreciate the history of old Singapore.

but there is no going back to those olden days when the people were less prosperous. the only good thing i could think of about those olden days is that it was less crowded back then.

Could you tell me where the last 2 houses were taken from? ( ie the shophouse and house 25)

If i am correct, house 25 is somewhere near chapel rd in katong and it has been pulled down? ( i do hope i am wrong)

i guess you are right, and that was a loss of a grand historical architecture in Singapore. now only pictures serve that memory.
