@TheMitchy93 Excuse me??? Where did you get the idea that I don't like the Queen. I think she's fabulous !! She's a great old gal. I can remember watching the newsreels of the coronation and I was intrigued even at 6 years old. I've read tons of books, starting with Elizabeth Enters and The Little Princesses. Have you read those? Betting not. So don't scream at me about not liking the Queen. She's amazing.

@cherylclair U forget that Britain entered the war in aid of other countries like Poland who were suffering to the point where it seemed the whole of Europe was going to be taken over by right-wing extremists. Also America benefited most from staying out of the war for so long. Britain had been fighting for so long before your country joined in, and the real heroes of WW2 at least on the ground were the European soviet troops under stalin

@wolby2010 Staying out of the war for so long gave us a chance to build up our armies and war machines. I do think if we had not entered the war, most of Europe would now be speaking German. The other part would be speaking Russian. But as usual, Americans are the bad guys. Maybe we should have just stayed out of it and left well enough alone. Then we wouldn't be so hated for trying to help. Of course the rest of the world would just find something else to hate us for.
