I actually own the VHS of this movie. I honestly don't see why it's that bad. The plot isn't a marvel, but I can UNDERSTAND it unlike films like Monster a Go Go and Star Odyssey. The special effects for 1980 weren't too bad, in fact it was interesting to see how the crew creatively got around their small budget. Walter George Alton is great as an unlikely hero, since in real life his is actually a lawyer. Donald Pleasance is the ultimate movie villain, and it shows. I don't see why it's so bad.

This was released in cinemas?!!!! After 'Superman' in 1978?!!!!!! Was it a TV movie that was just changed to a cinema release because of the success of 'Superman'? I think we all know who the real superhero is: Haphazard Stuff. The mental strength to keep watching these lousy, tacky films to provide entertaining reviews for his public. The integrity not to just review the good films. Nerves of steel. Uncanny powers of reviewing perception. Laughs in the face of a catalogue of awful films.
hey the superman theme makes it pretty good...though I actually like the movie

I saw this film about a year ago in its original form not through MST3K.
Warrior of the Lost World is indeed another bad Pleasence film.
However, Ken Russell's Whore remains the worst film I've ever seen. Really atrocious.
