If any one of you really enjoyed this movie, I suggest that you should read A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Solider by Ishmael Beah, a former child soldier during Sierra Leone conflict. Its a true story of his tragic childhood life as a child solider. IT really changed my life after reading it.

Having been to South Africa for 6 months (where some of this film was shot), I can't help but want to go back. This movie, with it's moving soundtrack, has stoked my fire for Africa and what a beautiful, diverse & complicated place it is. Sure it has it's problems, but that should not detract from the magnificence of the people, the land and the spirit of Africa.

If you think about it, you can't help but feel sorry for those children soldiers in Africa. They lost their family, they were subjected to torture, and some even watched their parents die. Lets just hope one day they will all be freed.
