  • Becker.

  • Is Yngwie Malmsteen's Spanish name Ignacio Maldonado?

  • vinnie moore ! dose a spectacular job at george harrison !

  • ah! I really love this version ... It's fascinating to hear this song ... excellent version of while may guitar gently weeps. I can't find it in "Ares" u.u

  • Metallica and Megadeth are good. Hammet and Hetfield are good. So stop arguing, and listen to Vinnie Moore - who is a part of neither band, and plays equally well but with emotion as well.

  • @FailDoctor ... I agree don't bring the argument of other bands here (but Moore is much better than Metallica and any Megadeth minus Friedman!)....I would love to see like a G10 concert. Yngwie, Friedman, Moore, Aldrich, Glibert, Navarro, Morello, etc. Even bring in a guy like Junior Brown or a jazz player like John McLaughlin. Or DiMeola. That would be insane. In fact, I think I just jizzed a little.

  • what a beautiful interpretation!

  • why did the person who uploaded this video used a lot of pics that theres nothing to do to Vinnie Moore original album?

Just to make longer my journey until the song I wanna hear?

  • love the slide show except for the kirk hammet part, he's not no where close to being in the league of the other guitarist here.

  • why is there so much of paul gilbert?? :/ :P

  • Talking about good guitar players: DIMEBAG DARRELL!

  • @WarlockMuerto uh.. no

  • @olivierjaquet LOL!

  • @xpidgeonx..LMFAO...I couldn't have said it better myself! The best part of Metallica started a band called Megadeth!!!

  • Man, I see a lot of "Kirk Hammett sucks" comments on videos of incredible guitarists like Vinnie Moore, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Marty Friedman, etc. Why do you have to put him down? Yes he's not as good as the aforementioned players, but he knows that I'm sure! Just listen to the great music!

  • Thiss is a great cover, but i think he should have edited the beatles title to 'While My Guitar Gently Sweeps' or while my guitar aggresively shreds :L

  • what's with all the pics of Paul Gilbert in this video? The artist is Vinnie Moore

  • @nakedwake read the description

  • @nakedwake exactly what I was thinking

  • He was really inspired on this one.

  • The backgrounds are what suck on this song. The guitar playing is fine. He's trying to make the song flow and his backup is turning it into a choppy and sloppy mess!

  • Vinnie Moore playing a Beetles classic with a slideshow of pictures of Paul Gilbert, Becker, Malmsteen and other shred gods(not Kirk)? YES PLEASE!

  • That sucked. I hope there isn't anymore metal junk trying to cover clasic rock out there.

  • @1Dougy85 you think this is metal? lol dont get out much do you ?

  • 19 people need to Get To Fuck ! This is is wonderful.

  • I bet the people that disliked this wished they could take it back after they heard 0:50

  • lol whose saying kirk hammet is good? or even better than vinnie? or better then anyone? i LOL at you all for your feeble knowledge of talent/ guitar

  • have you seen prince's version live with tom petty and harrisson's son and more xD prince's solo its preety cool

  • Also.. I didn't like cover at all.... I'll hear Clapton over this any day... All the filler parts he just sped through a fast lick... The song sounds better more simple in my opinion.

  • @Trevguy00 I'd like variation, if the whole peice, in this case Clapton sounded pretty much the same the whole way through, good solo but not enough adrenaline. Paul's solo is bloody amazing, the best I've heard so far.

  • i wouldn't say that he sucks but the solos aren't that complex, it's simple and easy to play for a beginner......but just don't say that he sucks, if anybody sucks it's the new crappy artists like chemical romance, linkin park etc.

  • I'm not a Vinnie fan (at all!) but he does do a good job, here. At least he doesn't widdle without thought all the way through! The backing guitars are a little too heavy, and really all that lets it down, IMHO! (But, hey, what do I know?) Some quite tasteful and emotive playing here, not waht I usually expect from a widdler!

  • lol I love Maiden uit im afraid Dave Murray aint up there with the greats

  • Damn, it's rough seeing Jason Becker. He still composes kick ass stuff.

Not so sure about adding the dudes from Maiden and Kirk Hammet into this mix but....maybe I was seeing things. ;)

  • Damn, it's rough seeing Jason Becker. He still composes kick ass stuff.

Not so sure about adding the dudes from Maiden into this mix but....maybe I was seeing things.

  • 15 people here are too busy listening to mainstream bands and 'accidentally' missed the like button

  • vinnie moore? he's paul gilbert hahaha!!

  • thanks for the video 1st and although its like where's eric johnson and Vai, u put in murray and adrian smith and maidens guitarists are underaprecciated! but im wondering why you left out gers?

  • lol Kirk Hammet?????? but no Joe stump thats hilarious

  • Why was there Paul Gilbert pictures?

  • Another guitarist that I'd like to see cover this song is George Lynch!!!

  • Sorry, but this like most of Moores playing,is just over done. You want better than the original, listen to Schenker's version...

  • @MSGathome4 If he can arpeggiate that cleanly, he can do whatever the fuck he wants. 0_o

  • out of all the shredders and neoclassical players, I gotta go with the vinman

  • @merlot96 Buckethead for me but its all opinion at the end of the day. There are some crazily talented people out there.

  • @terryfink Buckethead is pretty underrated, people think he's overrated but those people doesn't know he can do much much much more than robotic playing lol

  • @S3bz3r0 I take it your a fan too.. he's the best for me.. I like devin townsend too..

  • @terryfink devin? why is he in this conversation lol

  • Man, Kirk Hammett does not suck. You might hate Metallica or whatever but the guy can fucking play. Granted, he is not as good as Vinne but then who is?

  • This version is very telling , lately shankar of toto did a remake which was very good.

Previously to that I recall jeff haley doing it , and many others.

This version demonstrates an attempt to "metalize" it.

I don't feel it was proper to do that , but I also understand it.

Of course Paul gilbert owns on this track that just the facts of life.

You can hit me now if you want but thats just truth.

Not sayin that this method should be ignored.

  • @azkeyz Do you mean luthaker of toto? and if anyone owns this track its jeff healey.

  • it's great and I have always liked Vinnie, however make sure that you guys check out Jeff Healey's version.....total killer

  • those are pretty much all of my favorite players except kirk (i can safely say that probably more than half the people who commented on this page are better than him) Paul's got the best alternate picking, vinnie is a robot (in a good way), Jason has the best sweeping out there, malmsteen is malmsteen, Adrian has the greatest vibrato and phrasing, Dave murray along with holdsworth are my favorite legato players. the only guy missing is greg howe for me

  • @SirJamestheIII where is Satriani and where is Vai? Can't have a serious discussion about composition and phrasing heroes without Satriani...

  • @malmsteen4321 Satch is sorta like the jimi hendrix of virtuoso style guitar playing. he was a pioneer. i think he stands out in his song writing rather than his playing. I'll always love vai too. he is unique and his phrasing stands out. i actually like T Mac more. all i can say is that once i listened to the album Introspection by Greg Howe. all of my preconceived notions about guitar playing were shattered when i heard that album. No one can touch his phrasing. never plays the same lick twice

  • these guys are all the greats of the 80s and early 90s. before musicians started dressing like truckers and not really learning about the instruments there playing. and 1 other point i have to make is malmsteen is still rocking the frilly shirts. somebody should tell him. they werent cool back then and you just kinda look gay now. like come on man its 2010

  • Great cover. Drums sound is nice. Who is ths drummer.

  • Comment removed

  • This is an amazing cover that Vinnie Moore has accomplished! It comes off his album 'Time Odyssey" It is such a beautiful expression of guitar playing.

  • Comment removed

  • beatles has the original one, while my guitar gently weeps. i don't know whose cover is it, topic is Vinnie moore but there's many different virtuoso pics in the video.

  • fuck this is beautiful.

  • did vinnie moore sign with dean guitars??

  • Sounds a bit like the vocals from Judgment Day by Whitesnake.

  • i really think that is George Harrison song!!!

  • I was playing the vocal melody to this the other day on my guitar when I heard the song, spun. It's like my ear is finally coming good after 20 years of playing.

I like some of the Beatles progressions.

  • DAVID MICHAEL MURRAY!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • malmsteen is hilarious

  • kirk hammett realy?!!!

  • For real haha that's what I was thinking!!! I've got guitar students with a more widespread lick vocabulary than that hack. I don't understand people's worship of Kirk Hammet; he does the exact same licks in every song. James Hetfield is a far more solid, well-rounded guitar player than Hammet, and gets only a fraction of the credit...........ANYWAYS haha sorry I just felt a rant coming on haha.

  • KIRK HAMMET IS AWESOME U NOOB! and james is too so yeh but KRIK IS EPIC!

  • I want a detailed description of why that you think Kirk Hammet is an amazing/creative/well-versed/...even moderately technically proficient in the grand scheme of things.... guitar player. I'm quite confident you won't be able to produce any kind of answer that I can't refute beyond argument. PLEASE I want somebody to at least answer me on this because every time I bring it up everyone's just like "F-you NOOB" or something like that haha.

  • do u haf to be so complicated?

  • Hahaha I'm sorry man I'm just really interested to hear someone who can speak intelligently about guitar give me good reasons why Hammet is an outstanding player. I have absolutely never been able to get anyone to even try to. I mean he's had a few cool, original solos....in the 9 full albums they've done. But the rest of his stuff is hilariously redundant and unexplorative. Anyways don't sweat it man I'm just looking for answers haha!

  • let's u play some awesomely epic solo then. lyk better then anything in the world. go i dare u.

  • I know where you are coming from man. As a musician (Guitar player) like myself I see no real creativity in Kirks playing. I am in the same boat as you as to why people worship him. But as far as technique ect. He is pretty bad. Really lacks in creativity. I think he needs to step it up a bit and show some real talent. I mean YES Metallica and Mega are pretty big bands. For what reason idk but i agree with you man. lack of creativity, Repetitive, and overall VERY limited. Agrreed?

  • @Looneygah1 Totally agreed. I think for the length of time kirks been playing he could have gained some more skill but its gone backwards even. Its " sad but true" lol

  • Comment removed

  • yes, most the mainstream bands are limited, as majority thesedays aren't capable of comprehending what's musically creative or not, which makes me sad. many underground guitarists/bands are way more talented than well-know bands.

  • @sean6201 I couldn't agree with you more on that one!

  • Comment removed

  • @BIGmattXD

umm... noob?? whats that?krik is epic?? i think you need to learn to spell. well , we will always have people like you cause of the internet, just one big place for people to say dumbass things while being at the safety of their home.

  • its called a typo relax you fucking nerd.

  • look at the info..

  • Jason Becker is the best of XXth century..

  • dude. what the hell is up with all the pics. of paul gilbert ?????

  • Krik Hammett sucks. The guys technique overall is shallow, solos are mediocre at best.

  • couldnt of said it better my self. he sux

  • Yeah. Kirk Hammett really sucks.. he's probably the worst of Satch's apprentices ever...

  • Have ALWAYS loved Metallica, but have ALWAYS contended that Hammett wasn't really that good of a guitarist to warrant the 'guitar hero' status given to him. People wanted my head on a platter. Glad to see that I'm not the only one who feels this way. I don't hate him, I just think that he's average in every way possible on the guitar.

  • Hammet hides his lack of talent by oversaturating everything he plays with excessive wah pedal haha. Seriously though; I stand by my belief that James Hetfield is a more solid guitar player, and there are even studio videos showing where James has to play Kirk's parts because he can't get them right. James also has written 95+% of Metallica's music. Yet Hammet is the one getting jacked off by guitar world and a bunch of middle schoolers.

  • @odserick Lol, I agree completley. Like Zakk Wylde, you can only abuse a wah pedal so much. And Zakk is even more repetitive in his riffs. It's just something in drop tuning with a pinch harmonic.

  • @odserick That's really annoying when people do that... You're stating it like it's fact... I happen to LOVE Kirks solos... You don't have to be technical to be a good guitarist, you have to make sounds come from an instrument and hope people like it. Keep being an elitest fuck though..

  • @odserick and nobody gives a shit about your opinion either. who gives a shit about technicality and ability to play, if the guitarist can make a simple riff that sounds good and be consistent with making more than one that sound good then who the fuck cares about their technique?

  • @N4Rv4mpir3h34rt so if a beginner creates a one string riff which sounds good he is of equal standard to say yngwie malmsteem?

  • @MasterGodfather97 its not about how good they are, its about how well it moves an audience or how it touches your emotions when you hear it. people who only praise music for its popularity or for its complexity should not even begin to listen at all.

  • @N4Rv4mpir3h34rt yes the feeling and emotion is the key but the technicality of the piece improves it e.g. mr crowley - randy rhoads

  • @MasterGodfather97 why should it even matter?

  • @MasterGodfather97 omg yes man, guitaring on that song is fucking mind blowing. Shame Rhodes died so young I would've loved 2 have heard some solo stuff.

  • well not really.... it just means literally that they came up with a cool riff! doesn't really make them a great guitarist.. anyone can come up with a cool riff, but some people make it an art form and it becomes a style.

malmsteen is great at doing alot of things... and infact doesn't always show it because he does have a tendency to go a tad over the top! who wouldn't ./... he's just so natural with what he does he just plays whatevber he plays , it's not always great

  • @andrewslads This is so true. Malmsteen can play BEAUTIFULLY. Back when he was young... far out.

  • @odserick he doenst suck , hes just a different type of guitarist , not shredding all the time doesnt mean it sucks

  • @daniel245 , he sucks because he sucks in general....his solos just doesn't say anything,.... actually Hetfield is a better and more creative guitarist than Hammett

  • @luigiperso its not about how he plays , its about what you enjoy listening to and its about having a style. if dont enjoy his playing thats fine . ofcourse other guitar players are¨¨better¨ but in the end its about what you enjoy listening to

  • @odserick , just mentioning Hammett while I listen to this great Vinnie track, makes me shudder...

  • @odserick Hey if you can write any riff that even comes close to anything on the ..And Justice For All album come talk to me. He's a master of riffs, and his solos are incredible works so until u can play better than him and write music that inspires millions of guitar players then shut up

  • @777Cena4Life777 you're so right about that. Metallica have those monster riffs that only perhaps Sabbath & Scorpions can match. Hammett is not Malmsteen (well, no one is really) but he is the perfect match for Hetfield. As a unit they are just amazing. Pity they haven't found a bass player since Cliff died...

  • @LordShadowsMusic They have had Bass players. Jason Newsted took over for a good many years.

  • @mordig C'mon...i was joking, of course. What I meant was that Cliff was truly irreplaceable. Newsted is nothing compared to Cliff and Turjillo is even worse.

  • @LordShadowsMusic I know, it just bugs me how everybody holds Cliff Burton up on this pedestal like he was some genius on the bass. He was a good player but Newsted played all the earlier material just as good, I know I've seen them live enough times. It is sad when someone dies young of course it is, but lets be honest he wasn't nothing out of the ordinary.

  • @odserick fuk u

  • @odserick i love to hear the truth (:

  • @odserick I agree, but Metallica as a whole are awesome. That's the thing about success most of the time - what everyone's doing. Guys like Satriani, Buckethead, Gilbert and Vai don't have the awesome team Metallica or Megadeth have, so they have to compensate the lack of that with just a guitar. And they are pretty damn good when it comes to it.

  • @odserick And yet you fail to spell his name right.

  • WTF... Iron Maiden

good band but not the greatest guitar players LOL

Great playing by vinnie moore though

  • Music is not all about 'shredding'. Only guitarists like to listen to shredding. That being said, Maiden has penned some of the most brilliant 2-part guitar riffs in metal history. That's what makes them viable as 'guitar heros'. Their song writing ability is 2nd to none. I can still listen to stuff that I listened to over 10 years ago and still break out in a sweat from the air-drumming, air-bass, air-dual-axe-attack that I MUST do when listening to them. My God! What a band!

  • fair comment :-)

  • Jason Becker..

  • porra este nao e o vinie nem a pau.

  • fuck where is vinnie moore, thats paul guilbert! or that's vinnie paul..lol

  • One of my favourites of the varney-era shredders. Second probably only to Jason. He takes a beautiful song and makes it even better..

  • Why is Paul Gilbert in the beginning lol?

  • my bad didnt read description

  • Beatles are soooooo boring! This one rocked!

  • Mark my words- if you truly love music, someday you will appreciate their sonwriting genius.

  • lol some of the guitarists shown dont fit the video at all.

As for the song, amazing. I actually like this more than the beetles version.

  • Well he had to show something:P Why not some of the greatest guitarist of all time:P? Well i only agree on Yngwie malmsteen, paul gilbert, Jason becker, vinnie moore:P

  • Hammet is really out of place

  • Kirk Hammet shouldn't even be in the same slide show as guys like Paul Gilbert and Jason Becker.

  • You couldn't be more correct on that. : )

  • true, instead satriani should have...

  • thats not Vinnie thats paul!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's Vinnie Paul hehe

  • wow this is awesome!

  • best version of "while my guitar gently weeps" is definitely by jeff healey

  • this is definately better than the original

  • the original is by the beatles. jeff healet does another cover, in my opinion its the best, especially considering healey is blind

  • Healy for the win. Confidance Man is my fave of his.

  • clear for me too !r.i.p healey...

  • not to mention theres never been a period where paul used his trem that much hah

  • men collecting and looking at pictures of men. wow how manly.

  • Paul gilbert,Yngwie malmsteen and jason becker is one of my favorits. Tho i dont understand how you could like Kirk hammet as an guitar player. Some of his solos is nicely done..but..

  • so you just making the slide show of all your fav guitarists? while playing vinnie moore?

  • This is a Vinnie Moore cover off his Time Odyssey. Anyone with half an ear can tell this is NOT Paul Gilbert playing. And this version KILLS the lame Prince version.

  • wow! my favorite song played by my hero. liked all those other guys too...but vinnie moore is my fav* thanks for sharing.

  • clapton is god

  • It's Paul Gilbert playing the song.

  • Wrong, but thank you for playing "I Don't Know What The F*ck I'm Talking About" and publicly humiliating yourself.

  • Vinnie Moore cover, Paul Gilbert Pics???

  • why is Paul Gilbert on ALL the photos????

  • He's not. If your attention span was more than 45 seconds you'd realize that.

  • best cover is from Jeff Healey i think^^

  • Exelent song (cover) of vinnie, Y malmsteen, mr adrian smith and dave murray, kirk hammet, my influences to play guitar! See You!

  • Dont forget George Harrison, the composer of this beautiful song

  • i think it was Eric Clapton who did the guitar composition..i might be wrong

  • Yes you are wrong, it was composed by George Harrison of the Beatles. It was first played on the benefite concert called "Rock for Kampuchea" (Cambodia)to help victims of the Pol Pot regime. Story goes that he was at the house of a friend, and saw the girlfriend swapping the dirty floor. (a line in the song: I looked at the floor and I know it needs sweepin').....

  • But I have to admit we are both right, because it was Eric Clapton who did the solo on this album (the white album)but it was George Harrison wrote the song.

Bye, hugs from a dutch lady

  • thank u for enlighten me...i bow to you, from a Colombian gentleman

  • vinnie's melody line for this songs really good. but the rhythm kinda had to much staccato in my opinion. hes still awesome though.

  • try to listen to paul gilbert version of this song.. it blew you away man.. Mike portnoy on drums, neal morse on vocal and keyb, and i forgot who play the bass.. you can find it here in you tube

  • Matt Bissonette on bass

  • this has to be my new fav version of this beatles tune. great man vinnie moore is amazing..
