If you want to know the secret to Robert's guitar playing...... approach the guitar from a piano player's standpoint. R.J. did use various tunings for different songs, mostly open A tuning.

I learned it from this recordind- it's straight E-A-B. Regular tuning.At least on the CD it is. Really cool. The tab for Johnson is something else-it's wild-I tried it-it's involved-this is more fun. This took me a bit to REALLY get it down good like you hear it.
