Exactly as it sounds there's three channels of memory instead of 2 meaning your motherboard can hold more random access memory (RAM)

Tri channel consists of 3 sticks of ram, while dual channel consists of 2 sticks of ram. Running tri channel in a motherboard with 6 dram slots has better performance than running dual channel on it.

The position of top USB ports is bad.

DOCK knocks against the usb ports.
