I don't know if loud pipes save lives or not but I do know that you can be pretty loud without setting off every car alarm in my neighborhood and shaking the windows in my house at 2AM and waking up my girlfriend & I when we are trying to sleep.
If loud pipes save lives then I guess all those old guys on Goldwings must be dead motherfuckers, right? Oh yeah that's right, THEY'RE NOT!
shoulda put a hayabusa motor in it instead of this shit motor. would of made it faster and sound a hell of alot better then that shitty fart sound LOL.
@AcaRJacKeR the 1340 evolution motor is an excelent motor. just because it doesn't wind up to 14 million rpms and turn into a jet and fly you to your private island, doesn't mean it's bad. It's a reliable motor with good torque and a beautiful sound. Hell of a lot better than some crotch rocket mosquito sound! ;)
.........A garbage Harley motor belongs in a garbage automobile.......... :-) It even has one of those gay ass fishtail exhaust pipes..... Everyone will think this guy is a fag, just like anyone that rides an unnecessarily loud Harley. FAGS!
Nope, just immature loud-mouth little kids that watch south park and repeat what they hear.
Anyone else would think its cool. But we dont expect you to actually think for yourself, just listen to shitty cardboard cutout cartoons to tell you whats cool or not.
Harleys are so loud because of the huge bore of the pistons, they dont have little peanut pistons like jap bikes.
wasn't there a second video longer than this one showing the engine compartment/ motor? i could of swore there was a few months ago.
my little festie been knocking bad and blowing oil for the last couple of years and i think is on its last legs, but still gets me around and pissing people off! love the little bastards. when it blows, i will start to build a altered wheelbase/ gasser/ straight axle with a full cage and a 460- four-speed.
I do not own this car, i captured it last august but i talked to the owner/builder. The harley engine is bolted to the stock Ford trans, so reverse, back-up lights are no problems. The engine sits in the engine bay in the same orientation as in the bike. I met the guy 10 yrs ago in anoter car show, at that time he had almost the same modification but in a smaller Innocenti car.
@slam700 It is hard to believe that the Harley engine could bolt right up stock Festiva trans but damn, that is cool! The car sounded awesome! I might have to try doing that myself :-)
Thanks for sharing!
This was definitely one of the coolest Ford Festivas that I have seen!
Damn it, thought I'd be the first to do this, bummer. I'll have to at least go with a twin cam, maybe that'll be a first.

what kind of color is the festiva?
tonyhernandezful 1 year ago
Great, it now has less power, less available torque and gets worse gas mileage. Good job.
zapwatt 1 year ago
You guys should join two Harley cranks together, make a V4, and put it in this little thing. How kick ass would that be?
420witchdoctor 1 year ago
Wow, little Festi with a monster of a engine, now that´s a nasty one, great.

My uncle's Ultra Classic makes about 120 hp and 135 lb/ft torque with the big bore engine he has in it. Any idea what kind of specs this car has?

@unclesonnyonutube yeah, harleys = loud obnoxious look at me bikes...JAPANESE = more efficient more reliable bikes.
circa73skater 1 year ago
@circa73skater Is that why the japanese manufacturers all have models that mimic the Harley's look?
stlchucko 1 year ago
@stlchucko i dont doubt that they do, im just talking about the motors in Harleys compared to Japanese bikes.
circa73skater 1 year ago
@circa73skater It's just like everything else, if ya take care of it, it'll last a long time. I've seen em both last forever, and both die quickly.

Gay balls, but great job on the build.

how did you run fuel to it? harley's don't have a pump, just a petcock. how low is the pressure on ur pump? would love to see more info on the build.
crownplumbing 3 years ago
The Harley engine is connected to the stock festiva trans. This way, reversed is available.
slam700 3 years ago
@slam700
how much better do you think the harley trans would push it?
The reverse is an easy fix, with a sprocket on an old starter motor.
unclesonnyonutube 1 year ago
@slam700 Was there any special customization you had to do?

How did you add reverse?
