My twin sister is constantly in and out of the hospital for durgeries because she was born with a disability that causes one of her legs to be shorter than the other. One time she was there and we were just chilling watching TV in her hospital room and all of a sudden the girl in the bed next to her started crying. The nurses came in and she was screaming because she thought she was dieing because she had just started her period and no one told her about it. The nurses had to explain it to her.

@MH4542SS1 that happened to me before and you may have just been scared and still in shock from the dream you had. If you have been raped or sexually abused before sometimes that can trigger the pain and the memories, even if the sexually abuse didn't involve sex. If you keep having dreams like that you should talk to an adult you trust, or a doctor and see if they can help you figure out why you are having thoes dreams and what to do about it. Its totally normal.

Weelll so today at school i bleed thrue and was really embarresed because allot of people noticed also i went to the nurse and called an emmergency contact and went home luckely he knew about that kindof stuff and he has younger kids so he didnt really care but the flow was so bad it went thrue his seat so he had me sit on a magazine and when i got ouut of the car like the blood went on a nother spot in his car and i felt so bad and embaressed and i was wearing shorts too :(

@nessakay1 I'm so sorry you had such a hard day. Things like that do happen, but probably will never happen to you again. Did you notice any signs that could alert you to it starting next time? Did your tummy ache a little? Did you notice you were moody that morning? Did you feel a little funny down below? Make sure to mark the day on your calendar when it started. Count 28 days from then on your calendar and put an X. A week before that day make a note to yourself to start wearlng pantiliners.

@nessakay1 The first day or two can be tricky to figure out. Some months can be heavier than others, so for you it could be necessary to go to the bathroom and check at all of your school break times. For the first 2 days wear a tampon and a pad. If you only wear pads then check them frequently and wear dark colors or jeans to mask stains. Holly

my friend gracie for sure didnt know what a period was and she was only 8 yrs aold and she got it during school came in to the class room and saying she was dying and the teacher was just like what happened and when she found out she was just like u got your period and ya poor gracie

Lmao! I have a 14 year old sister but shes @ boarding skool, and i have a little baby sister thts almost 2, an older brother thts 13 and a little brother thts 4. I also have a half sister that is 33 :)

I just started 7th grade and got mine when i was 11 in 5th grade and am super self conscious and always feel like every one knows when im on it.

Maybe you can talk about how to deal with those feelings when your so young and always in school?

Can you please talk about irregular periods? My period has been pretty irregular lately and I'm thinking about asking my doctor to put me on birth control to regulate it.
