The video is pretty good but the links to download the mount and unmount scrips are not working correctly, I was unable to complete the process. HELP LOU!
I'm new to the linux world and a complete noob when it comes to terminal command. But as the video and explanations on your blog are so clear, I could go through the procedure easily and everything worked fine. I'm finally going to be able to enjoy a movie and music on my super Galaxy Nexus.
Thanks! Much obliged to be able to copy files to Nexus. But it's slow; takes 15-20 minutes to copy 1.2 GB on Linux Mint 12 on my PC laptop- it's 4 or 5 times faster under Windows. (It's slow using Android File Transfer on a Mac as well.) Also, if I open gThumb like I'm prompted to, it just hangs and I can't quit gThumb & can no longer open Nexus through file browser either, all I get is spinning ball. And then can't browse any directories at all until I restart PC. Do I need additional packages?
installed python-pymtp, Banshee & Quod Libet can now both see/play music from Nexus. gThumb not only freezes but causes entire system to lock up repeatedly. Installed Picasa & Shotwell. Attempting import from Nexus via Picasa immediately crashes Picasa (which by the way I can't add to Favorites, which sees it as Wine) Shotwell works great. Note: must unlock phone before running mount script or else can't access Nexus -get a transport endpoint error. Thanks again for tutorial, now Mint can Nexus!

gnomad2 works out of the box in Debian (testing) without compiling or using unofficial packages.

Great tutorial as usual! I needed to compile libmtp from source to get this working with Mint 12.
