Looks like the C-130 wasn't too badly damaged. Converting your plane to electric will not guarantee you will not have a dead motor. But I do believe electrics are a whole lot more reliable. I've had broken motor wires, bad batteries, bad motor, and shorted out ESCs, which has caused a motor to stop, I have many electric and gas powered planes. I will be converting all gas powered multi engines planes to electrics before I crash them. Most of my crashes are now due to dumb thumbs.
Heavy winds? That wind sock looks almost dormant to me. That looks like a classic stall, last minute stick back reaction just took it below minimal flying speed. Don't know about you guys but the trouble with one aborted landing is that I always know the next one is going to be at least crap or damage! Beautiful plane, hope its ok.

I agree, it didn't seem to know exactly where it was going. Beautiful plane though!

Looked like it was tail heavy the way it was flying. Damage looked remarkably little considering the death spiral into the dirt.
