@poopeehead1 :41 is from the 1st episode of the second season. Episode is named Scattered. This sequence was originally broken into several parts with shots looking into Lee Adama's cockpit. What you see at :41 is what you get when you cut out the shots looking into the cockpit... If that makes any sense.

The space battles, while far too short overall, are amongst the best sci-fi has to offer in many years, and the storytelling and immersion is pretty much unmatched in terms of sci-fi TV shows, with the possible exception of Firefly. I was a skeptic when I started watching it a few months back, and three seasons in, I give it my wholehearted recommendation.

imho this is simply the best sci-fi show ever. For the first 2 1/2 seasons. Then you begin to realize that most story arcs were begun without anyone thinking about how to end them.

As much as I loved the new Trek (actually, I love ALL things Trek) and as much as I love Farscape and Star Wars BSG trumps all of them, IMHO. Given the tone, scope, and content of BSG, this song works much better with Galactica than it does with Trek (it's too dark for Trek).

On another note wasn't the opening of the new Trek film just frakking fantastic? If only they could've worked Battlestars Galactica & Pegasus in, it would've been fantastic!

Indeed, it'd have to be a trilogy about young Adama fighting in the First Cylon War (so long as RDM doesn't decide to do a TV spinoff about that after Caprica). Other than that, I just don't see how we could do a good enough story for a feature film. They already did Pegasus (which could have been far better had they actually exclusively focused on Pegasus characters in Razor). Unless they do a story about a Battlestar Group that managed to survive the Nuke Holocaust....

i have a draft of a story outlining the beginning of the mercury class, the battlestar mercury.

with a bunch of support ships..

interestingly, it would have twists and turns like what was done to nuBSG.

timeline would begin from 10 years before the colonial collapse, participation into the valkyrie incident(bulldog's mission) after mercury lost contact with fleet HQ, and got lost.

internal conflicts, politics, etc and of course eventual discovery of new cylons is just my recipie.
