I don't think the concept of "completely original" even exists. :) Even the velvet underground had their inspirations. Everyone wants to be "unique" but we can't help but be affected by everything we come in contact with. Something that was truly completely original would probably appear so alien that we couldn't even identify with it. But, I'm over-thinking it. Good music anyway. :D

@avedic Wasn't the idea of creating art in a vacuum what let to the Shaggs? I read somewhere they were raised in isolation of culture and learned to play instruments on their own. I also find them unlistenable...just goes to show you, you can be 100% original and wind up going beyond anyone's frame of reference.
