@ElisaIsra I should also mention that getting rid of fleas is a process that can take any period of time. Once my cat had them for a year because it was so difficult for us to clean our carpet, and we just ended up replacing the carpet altogether

It's much easier to prevent fleas than it is to get rid of them. Once you get rid of them, you just have to clean your house regularly and use the flea medication like Advantage on a monthly basis.
