This is game is a spin-off (like Streets of SimCity or The Sims), not actually a version of SimCity (whatever they say) but it is fun -- a good, relaxed game for when you just want a break to get away from it all. I'd buy it all over again to get a traditional, key based log-in!!!

But yeah, Simcity 4 is so hard to top, maybe that's why Maxis/EA is not trying. Especially because there are so many custom items to find online now. All these stupid Societies, Tropico, CitiesXL just don't quite have the flexibility and customizable stuff that Simcity 4 has.

Alright, While this looks nice, none of the people who buy simcity type games that i know have bought or are planning to buy this because it's not the simcity we like.... DOWN WITH THIS HOOEY. We don't want to build one building at a time and balance everything with no effort what so ever. What we want is to zone lots and see our city built from scratch while stil maintaining our economics in the process. So when you start work on a new SimCity then let us see the building being built and the air getting polluted, JUST REMAKE SIMCITY 4 IN NEXT GEN Grphics. That's all we ask!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There I gave a solution to getting this franchise back on top so please do something about it EA
Totally fuckin agree, the graphics don't even have to be that much better, just give me more customization options (like Mountains, other climates, Bigger variety in roads, like fucking curved roads and shit) They should just nab all the mods, streamline them with the original Idea and throw in some nice graphics and you'll have a game that will have an even bigger community than SC4 has now!

I (and probably all real SC fans) find this the worst SimCity to date. It's just too easy. Tilted Mill screwed too much with the original SC gameplay and removed virtually all micromanagement and other typical SC features.
Maxis should have finished Spore first and then started on a REAL and worthy SimCity 5.
No it's not.. I prefer this game because it is far more customizable than SimCity 4. I like being able to be extremely creative, down to the buildings... rather than just making giant commercial/residential/industrial blocks
scs is fun if you just wanna build your city of your dreams without a chalenge, its pretty fun making a city of your dreams or nightmares and watch it grow n stuff happen, but if ur looking for a chalenge, managing the city etc its not the game 4 u

You know, if Maxis made this game it could have really sparked like all other sim city games. Just because EA had a part in it does not mean this game deserves the title of Sim City. I love 3000 and 4, But Societies really dissapointed me. This commercial also shouldn't have used the song Uptown, in Sim City 3000 the music was brilliant, even the songs that were kinda weird were just awesome and the game really took me to my happy place. I loved 3000 and still play it!!!
I just played the demo and i really liked it. Nice colorfull graphics, pretty good interface, fun gameplay. Sure it may not go as deep as the other Sim City's but it's just fun to play. Make a grand city were the people are happy to live in and feel good about it.
So gonna see if i can pick it up somewere for a good price.

Nothing beats simcity 4. I admit, I love the new zoom-in feature on SimCity Societies but, damn, the game sucks. I mean, you can't make diagnal roads, the "skyscrapers" are like 10 feet tall (big woop), the fire breakouts are endless, the landscape is so small it can only fit like 100 buildings, AND... YOU CAN'T BUILD ROADS OVER A STUPID HILL!!! I mean, what the Hell? It's a tiny hill and the stupid road can't even go over it... Dumb game. Don't recommend it..

No it's not.. I prefer this game because it is far more customizable than SimCity 4. I like being able to be extremely creative, down to the buildings... rather than just making giant commercial/residential/industrial blocks

scs is fun if you just wanna build your city of your dreams without a chalenge, its pretty fun making a city of your dreams or nightmares and watch it grow n stuff happen, but if ur looking for a chalenge, managing the city etc its not the game 4 u

yes maybe but it is not real ...in real life you havent got skyscrapers at the start , and in scs arent traffic jams , or something scs is only copy of citi life at the first play sc4 and then comment

You know, if Maxis made this game it could have really sparked like all other sim city games. Just because EA had a part in it does not mean this game deserves the title of Sim City. I love 3000 and 4, But Societies really dissapointed me. This commercial also shouldn't have used the song Uptown, in Sim City 3000 the music was brilliant, even the songs that were kinda weird were just awesome and the game really took me to my happy place. I loved 3000 and still play it!!!

I just played the demo and i really liked it. Nice colorfull graphics, pretty good interface, fun gameplay. Sure it may not go as deep as the other Sim City's but it's just fun to play. Make a grand city were the people are happy to live in and feel good about it.
So gonna see if i can pick it up somewere for a good price.

Everyone maybe doesn't like this game, but if you doesn't you shouldn't write bad comments about this game. Some may find fun about it, now if you don't like to build cities or stuffs then why buy a game there you can create it?

What I find funny is that when Sim City 4 came out, people complained it was too hard. Now that Sim City Societies has come out, people are complaining its too easy!! WTF? I Think I'll stick with Sim City 4 though, the real challenge lies there.

I think i'll like Societies, because i'm all about building cities, what with this game's enhanced building features. But the PEOPLE......FUCK 'EM. They're only useful for putting buxx0rz in my coffers.

Nothing beats simcity 4. I admit, I love the new zoom-in feature on SimCity Societies but, damn, the game sucks. I mean, you can't make diagnal roads, the "skyscrapers" are like 10 feet tall (big woop), the fire breakouts are endless, the landscape is so small it can only fit like 100 buildings, AND... YOU CAN'T BUILD ROADS OVER A STUPID HILL!!! I mean, what the Hell? It's a tiny hill and the stupid road can't even go over it... Dumb game. Don't recommend it..
