Lol it's so weird watching so much anime and playing so many fighters that when I watch KOF, I always ask myself"why aren't they yelling out their attack names as they do it? o_O". Is that a bad thing? Does this make KOF the most realistic of fighters?

@acp1778 Well, obviously it's not on the cds, as the characters are all DLC, much like NESTS Kyo and Mr Karate. But the music is supposed to be on the game disc, you just have to download said characters to unlock the music (which I haven't btw, so I can't really confirm anything). It's the same with how you couldn't hear the themes of Billy or Saiki on the Gallery mode unless you unlock them. I DLed a rip of the game discs, and I found both Stormy Sax 2 and Goodbye Esaka arrangements..

I hope that this doesn't start a Takuma bandwagon. I've been wanting to use him since I first watched this game almost 2 years ago. That reset command grab was so sick!! Can't wait to have my characters down. If you're coming from SF or MvC prepare for a real challenge, the combos in this game are extremely trying.

I'm still waiting for my order of KOF XIII to arrive in the mail ;_; This game looks to be a refreshing change from SSF4 (though I'm far from being bored with SF, especially with the 2012 update coming out). This'll probably be the second game I'll try to really get into.

It's kind of like a team survival battle, each player picks a certain amount of characters and each time one is taken down, the next character comes up to fight. Health is not restored for the surviving character.

@Kibsterz There is no particular one for 13 to my knowledge, but there are a few excellent ones for King of fighters in general. Try searching for "Incomplete guide to King of fighters", They go over the basic mainstay mehcanics of KOF like shot hops, super jumping, rolls etc and when to best use them and when to beware them.

Xian, since u play KoF too Y U NO play kof98 and 2002, two of the most solid (gameplaywise) and still the best among all kofs, over here? also why not 98UM and 2002UM versions. tbh, imo the original 98 and 2002 and their UM derivatives are more suitable and exciting in any tournaments. if u dont believe me just see some tournament matches of those ...specially the KoF Versus Festival. This 13 is also good, but y shouldnt KoF get love all the time; not just because of a new release?

@Rogond09 It's not as hard as people make it out to be. If you rely on input shortcuts in other games then maybe, but I would say it is about on the same level as Blazblue execution wise.

Lol, I hate it on fighting games when people choose top tier characters, and if someone calls then out on it they say im just picking my favorites, but when updates, patches, or new games release, suddenly they have a new favorite "character" who just happened to move up on the tier list. @dudetheguyman I'm pretty sure Skye was in losers bracket. So he'd have to win 6 matches total. Xian only had to win 3. I haven't watched the full video yet though, but thats generally the rule.

@TFSmash although we know mr. karate and takuma are the same person but movewise they are different. and this is takuma moveset, not mr. karate. but u can customize color and outfit in this kof so u can choose mr. karate's tengu mask for takuma. but its kinda confirm that the actual mr. karate will come as dlc.
