@ridgeback69z That's stupid, what are you. an american or what?. Queen is much more than freddie mercury, he was just 1/4 of Queen's greatness. Absolutely nothing more, nothing less.
I mean it's Queen, not the beatles or the rolling stones you're talking about. This is the superior music.
In the description he says, "one of queens greatest hits, well I think so." He made 2 mistakes, he doesn't need to think so, everyone knows that. Also, he said one of queens greatest hits, implying that every song wasn't a hit. To my knowledge, all of their songs are hits (at least with awesome people).
@MFlego81 It was written by Brian when he was in the hospital recovering from hepatitis, it's just about the times Queen had touring with Mott the Hoople and the girl "Peaches" is a groupie who Brian was very fond of, he met her again years later. See, it's very difficult to talk about the meaning of a Queen song because nobody knows for sure.
I'm a bit tired of people saying music is crappy nowadays when they listen to great bands. There were hundreds of bands in the 70s and the same average amount sucked and got on the top hits list. The 70s produced some seriously shitty music, like every generation. And yes we still have great bands. White Stripes, Queens of the Stone Age, radiohead, the kills and so on are all great rock bands. Just be happy we get to hear great music on demand.
@alteregoash White Stripes, Queens of the Stone Age, radiohead, the killers not exactly new bands though! Personally I think 'the scene' got a bit regular ''over the past decade. Kasabian is a fave but Queens first 3 albums is on a higher plane.
Saw these guys a bunch of times, remembering my 16th Birthday,my friends got me a ticket and we all went and seen Queen in Madison,WI.Night At The Opera....Great Show and a lot of partying....U Betcha!!!
Freddie Mercury Brian May Roger Taylor John Deacon .these 4 talented musicians and songwriters were a perfect combination .they were together for 20 years when Freddie passed..I saw them in '77 and'78 at MSG they were just brilliant no one put on a show like they did it was an amazing ride they just blew me away Freddie Mercury was the best frontman ever.Brian May a guitar master Roger Taylor great on drums and John Deacon brilliant bass Freddie is gone almost 20 yrs but the music lives on
Totally awesome is QUEEN. Even from back in the late 60s when they were college buds playing ORIGINAL rock music at frat parties, local pubs & whatnot...in fact, QUEEN is the ONLY rock band that can boast that ALL 4 members are actual college graduates, majoring in music which, explains THE GREATEST ROCK BAND OF ALL TIME. Sorry but, it's true - the Stones, Zeppelin, Boston, Rush - you name 'em - NONE of them can compare to the virtuosos that are QUEEN!! Only the Beatles can MAYBE come close!
never knew queen toured with mott the hoople ! if u listen carefully u can hear freddie singing ''down in the city with hoople and me'' how interesting!
@nongthip ...don't worry babe - i'm safe and sound...some of us still write, record and produce MUSIC. It's just a question of getting 'it out there'. The old system of the studio distribution deal has died the digital death, and that is why indies such as myself have the talent and the tools to continue on in the vein of the Old Masters, but find that it is hard to make ends meet. Be we do what we must...Cheers!
will always remind me of my teens when I used to vacation in Mexico with relatives the whole summer. I was there one summer vacation and this was a popular hit on Mexican radio at the time. reminds me of the small town I stayed at, we got a radio station from Guadalajara that played american/UK music. will always remind me of that era.
@Glenn1967ful They kicked off with Killer Queen, at least it reached either #12 or #2 haha in the charts in england in 1974, bohemian rhapsody was 1976 or 77 ii think
@itsbridgetlogann Yes thats what I meant, thats what I was trying to type, just a typing error, that happens a lot with this cheap keyboard, I really need to get a new one LOL ;-)
Queen's albums from the 1970s were full of great songs that were never released as singles and are overlooked, such as "Doing All Right", "Father To Son", "Death On Two Legs", "The Loser In The End", "Get Down Make Love", "Sheer Heart Attack" (killer track!), "Sweet Lady", "Tenement Funster", and "I'm In Love With My Car".
dont mean to sound like a nerd but i genuinely think most of their best tracks werent released as singles or , if they were, didnt do well commercially. Plus a lot of their tracks were far better live for some reason. i.e. dragon attack, keep yourself alive and brighton rock
i love love this song at the begining when the drums kick in i seem to start thinking im roger taylor and start playing the imaginary drums then i move to brian with the guitar then john with the bass THEN FREDDIE with the vocals. so by the time the song has finished i have acted out the whole band !

I guess you got too much Queen from Your media :D And its true too much same songs kills their lure ;)
