  • If I were him, I'd shoot down all of those spitfires and cry later :D lol

  • One of the many reasons of the American usage of the A-Bomb on Japan is RACISM. The only reason America choose to bomb Japan is just because Japanese are not WHITE. The US needed "results" of their superweapon.

  • Fail. Fw-190 didnt have a cannon firiring through the propeller arch.

  • @lukum55 It's not a 190, it's a Ta-152

  • @lukum55 That is not an FW-190...that is a TA-152, it had a nose cannot (trollface.jpg)

  • @Warbirdguy1

Ok but did Ta-152 have rockets in the exhaust?

  • @lukum55 Nope, the exhaust flame is actually an exaggeration of what you can see in low lighting at a high throttle setting. Some aircraft have a small "poof", barely even a flame but bright enough to be seen up close from each cylinders corresponding exhaust pipe. But yes, the one here is WAY over exaggerated.

  • @lukum55 Those arnt rockets. Its the burning fuel from going W.E.P. (War Emergency Power)

  • The German pilot did the right thing !

  • Those gunners are fricken stupid!!!! They're in a B-17 Superfortress and they could not even down a single spitfire with all the MGs and cannons they have!?

And what kind of bloody insane pilot would even think of attacking a B-17 ALONE!?

  • @mysteryman3666 B-17 Flying Fortress. Not superfortress, Also as long as you attack from the right spot and out of the sun, you will not be seen. And at night, its easier to shot down a bomber

  • It's true that Germany was working on an A-Bomb. But it wasn't completed however. So shortly before the end of the war it was shipped to Japan via U-Boot for use in their A-Bomb program - however the war ended before it reached Japan and in the end it fell into the hands of the Americans and they used it in the bombing of Hiroshima.

Also there where no B-17 used in Europe. So it would have been kinda hard to capture one.

  • @Supenmanu Umm, WHAT?! Where do you get your information from? The B-17 was used PRIMARILY in Europe. It equipped both the 8th Air Force based out of England, and the 15th based out of Italy. It was used against German military and industrial targets in the daylight bombing raids for quite a long time. The Germans captured and used quite a bit of American hardware, including B-17s. No idea where you got your information from, but you need to check it again.

  • @HalcyonSkies: sorry i confused the B-17 with the B-29.

  • @Supenmanu Ah, I gotcha. Bit of an easy mistake to make now that I think about it. They do somewhat look similar. Interesting to note that the Germans captured about 40 downed B-17s, but only used 12 of them. They only tried a couple of times to infiltrate US bomber formations, until the US got wise, but they typically used them as transport planes in full Luftwaffe markings. Sorry for going off on you, I was just confused as all hell by that statement. My minds going "WHAT?! Wait a minute...."

  • how is his hair under that cap?

    accent anime secret

  • @MrAlejandro55667 Nazis are Nazis. Don't lump the Luftwaffe in the same pile of crap with the Nazis.

  • Let's see:

    1) Captain Harlock and Willowy Blond from same anime: CHECK

    2) Harlock-san immediately recognizes a nuclear weapon because, I guess, everyone in 1944 could spot a nuke on sight? Without markings or any other indicators? WTF?: CHECK

    3) Brit fighters attack an American bomber for no apparent reason: CHECK

Completely goofball...but eh. I'll stick with it.

  • @Calbeck

actually they attacked the bomber because it has several third reich decals painted on it

  • @MrAlejandro55667 only the nazi's were nazi's, about 80% of the german people were against the war, check your history.

  • that was fucking awesome

  • 3 brits tooken down by one german plane? they should have called in the american flying tigers. they are the best.

  • This is 1 of the cartoons with the worser message i ever saw!

All this happened "yesterday" and can't be summarized in a so indifferent way!

There must be more respect for who saved us, even if they made a lot of errors!

  • If Japan had not surrendered from the A-bombs, the U.S. had a back-up plan. The back-up was to invade the southern part of the Japanese mainland.

  • @ceugene0310 and lose so many US and British lives when they invade Japan - that's why the bomb was there.

  • @ceugene0310 and lose so many US and British lives when they invade Japan - that's why the two bombs was there.

  • @ceugene0310 Operation Olympic - a million US casualties were forecast

  • 5:48 until the ending whats the song name?

i really feld the pain of this pilot on a strange way

  • Those Spits are from 41 Squadron, RAF - "EB" is there code letters

  • LOL:

at 4:07 Look at the subtitles. Whoever made them forgot to hit the Shift Key on the second exclamation point.

  • NIce work, Spitfire! Take that Luftwaffle!!!

  • Comment removed

  • i feel like listening to "aces high" now

  • Actually there WAS such a delivery. But it wasn't a completely assembled A-Bomb and it wasn't going to Penemünde and it wasn't carried on a plane. It was transported on a U-Boot and heading for Japan. It included all the blueprints and raw materials (like tons of Uranium) for building an A-Bomb. But halfway to Japan the war ended end all U-Boot forces where ordered to surrender. The U-Boot fell into the hands of the Yanks and they used it for constructing the A-Bomb they threw on Hiroshima.

  • hahaha!! Fuck Spitfire!! FW rulez, for the time of all times ^^

  • As much as I like this movie, I have no doubt the Germans or the Japanese would have used the bomb on the USA if they had developed it first. The whole thing about America selling it's sould to the devil is complete revisionist bullshit... It was the Kamikaze attacks that caused the use of the bomb.

  • @Humbertusmarius

The use of atomic bomb reason was the Kamikaze attacks?

No way buddy, do you know how much the results of the attacks?

At early time of the attack, it was made good results, but after that American

got to know how to resist them from a carrier.

So if you trust the bomb's reason was Kamikaze attacks is very week.

The exactly reason of use the bomb was Japanese is not white and America wanted to experimentation of the Bomb.

  • @onioroshi. I respect your opinion. You have yours and I have mine, buddy.

  • @Humbertusmarius

However, we must make a pace world together buddy.

  • @onioroshi. There is no other choice if we are going to survive. Peace man.

  • Before America used the bomb, Japanese government tried to contact and ready to capitulation, but America refused it because they wanted to experimentation.

Then they used the bomb to Japan. They also genocide many Japanese at Tokyo by air strike. They genocide a lot of population of ordinary persons, they were not soldiers. Furthermore, the attack was enclose the people which closed escape way purposely

  • @onioroshi , if what you say is true, so why the fuck japan didint capitulate after first nuke? by the way remember one, and most important thing, WITCH THE HELL STATED WW2: nazi germany and its allies (Italy and JAPAN!!!!) know about Jpana's war crimes? extermination of china's civilians and hiroshima was industrail city, Americans would never use such an expensive weapon without good target. (im not hater, just like disscuss about history)

  • @onioroshi

But three months earlier on Okinawa you still thought you could win?

  • @illerac84

No I do not think so. Before started the war, some people already know we are going to lose.

However, after the samurai era always Japanese leaders are stupid assholes.

    like this video@0:38

    .youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=1NyO3yjyWOw

  • Captain Rheindars: Screw the Bomb, I have long hair !

  • the Japanese like their history in one flavour only: revisionist.

for all the people fawning over the Japanese military of WWII, I'd direct you to research the brutal atrocities and war crimes they committed against those they conquered (especially the Chinese)

  • This is a really good anime. I wouldn't think of some Nazi's to be human.

  • Nippons fantasy! The third Reich was far away from completing the bomb, furthermore Hitler was not much interested, not because of scruples but because the development took too much time and costs. Btw, even in 1945 at night the sky over Germany was relative safe from enemy fighters. It was the daytime when allied pilots ruled the sky with their P-51 and P-47 since 1944.

  • @ichmalealsobinich

The problem with the bomb was that U-235 was barely available. In fact the Americans had used all their available weapons on Japan and were left without by 1945.

  • They still had two other nuke availible at the time. There were four "intended" targets but the Japanese surrendered JUST before the last two were dropped. Those nukes weren't meant to end the war, they were just a test weapons and the Japanese were the platform. Two wrongs don't make a right.

  • Fantastic movie with a rather serious tone and atmosphere; but Spits with short wing tips like these were used for low-altitude flight, so I don´t know what are they doing flying so high (small wonder then I think that the long-winged Ta-152 surpasses them so easily...) For high-altitude flight there were Spits with longer wing tips, like the Mk-VIII.

  • @AlanMartinNala from the looks of the cockpit and tail, im sure those were hawker hurricanes

  • @Wyvern0110 the attacking planes were late model spitfires...not shure which one...one of the mk 12's

  • bah, the nuclear explosion would have killed the spitfire. and the armor of the b-17 was legendary and needs often minutes to get breaked at vital places...

  • I love how sinister the german officer looks as he assumes everything is okay but quickly realizes he's doomed.

  • I highly doubt that Spitfire Mk XIVs would be in the area. Even operating from forward bases with long range tanks in august 1944 a trip to Peenamunde would be at the edge of their combat radius. Its possible but the time over target would be minuscule at best...

  • Thanks for sharing this. *****

  • Why is everyone waffling about the Fw200?

The 'plane portrayed is a captured B-17.

  • Brilliant anime. It's good to finally see the story of WW2 from a perspective other than the American or Allies. I really felt soory for Reindharz at the end sacrificing his girl to save humanity. Shame noone stopped the little boy on Enola Gay.

  • @TheMulchmeister

shame the japs attacked pearl harbor... they brought it on themselves. Research ww2 in japanese highschools and colleges and you will see they really only focus on the bombs being dropped and not on the war or causes for the war. Their ashamed of it and thus you get bs like this because no one is learning from history lol. Think I am wrong? Research it yourself.

  • The Condor barely cut it as a maratime patrol aircraft, it was too flimsy to be used as a heavy bomber

  • you know, I thought he would've smashed his plane into the Spitfire at the end, like out of guilt for failing the mission an failing to protect the girl he loved.

  • @guibin He didnt help on purpose.

  • @guibin He might've failed to protect the girl he loved, but at least he stopped the atomic bomb from reaching london or moscow or whatever.

  • @guibin yeah, but I think he didn't fail the mission, in a sense that the Bomb didn't get dropped on London or Moscow or whatever

  • @guibin he did fail the mission, but he didn't really fail the real obligation he had to the girl. Earlier she said that she didn't want the bomb to be a success, and she felt extremely guilty for helping to develop it. By letting the bomb get destroyed, he fulfilled the girl's wishes. I also thought he was going to ram the Spitfire, though.

  • @guibin he didn't fail to protect her.. She asked him to kill her.. he refused, so he let her die at the hands of another plane so that the bomb would never be used. Then he got his revenge. The rest of Germany would consider this mission a failure because they would never know that he did it on purpose. but clearly this alluded you.

  • they would of known the b-17 was stolen anyways.

cause b-17 didn't do night missions and they never traveled alone at all cost.

  • Whats with the B-17 ?

  • They mentioned it was a captured B-17. In WWII, Kampfgeschwader 200 used captured B-17s for various purposes.

  • They stole it to transport the missile, I don't know why though. It's not like they couldn't have used a Junkers Ju-90 or even a Junkers Ju-88

  • i suppose for disguises

  • If it was supposed to be a disguise, they failed miserably. Not only for putting German markings on it, but even if they didn't. They'd have to have it escorted or it would be shot down by their own fighters, but if they have German fighters escorting an Allied bomber, it throws the disguise off.

  • i know their like flying in the enemy plane so they dont know its us flying, but they have the german symbol on the tail lol

  • i know why not use a FW200 bomber

  • because the fw 200 wasnt a real bomber and the atomic bomb would have been too heavy

  • true true, hitler was stupid to not make a mass produced four engine heavy bonber (good he didnt :P)

  • @Warbirdguy1

check the "ural bomber" project and why it wasnt realizable and canceled after all an you know the reason why the luftwaffe hadnt good four engined heavy bombers (without the He 177) :)

    (and yes, it was good)

  • 後悔はしていない

  • focking half assed man betrayng his country. they should send a capable soldier not a pussy

  • Erhardrt von Rheindars go to search for that name...

  • I've always loved this Anime. =D

Thank you for sharing the subbed version out here.

  • It was either use the bomb or let another 10 million people die in the invasion of Japan. That is the sad reality.

  • Sadly, you're right. The concept of Bukido was so twisted by the government that they were willing to use every last person in Japan to fight to the death.

  • So what you're saying is the war was over after that? How about a real explanation of what was supposed to happen, and maybe without the name calling and immaturity.

  • Wrong, kid. If you read YOUR history, you would know that the battles on Okinawa and Iwo Jima ended in 1945 and that Japan outright refused an unconditional surrender until after the atom bombs were used.

  • Is that so?

Well, you fail at doing your homework. That wouldn't have ended Japanese militarism of the day. With that mentality Japanese military had to be destroyed to the core with an unconditional surrender. Japan would be a VERY different place today, if the bombs hadn't been dropped.

Dumbfuck? You are the only dumbfuck here, sadcarnage.

  • firstly i wasnt calling everyone a dumbfuck i was talkin to a person whtf ARE U to come into my conversation ??secondly japan eventually would have collasped on its own i already explained that why dont u take a better look into my comment fuckface

  • This is youtube, shithead, so I can say whatever I want to whoever I want.

And those ridiculous hythesis are nothing but that, MERE hypothesis. Japanese had to accept that their emperor was not divine, apologize for their war crimes and surrender their offensive capabilities. Only an unconditional surrender was capable to achieve all those things.

I'm ready for more of your ridiculous hypothesis.

  • fuck off troll there capabilities were shit an what were they gonna do when they invaded throw rocks at the chinese an american hahah shove ur hyethiesis up ur ass u fucken dumbshit ur to blind to listen to anythin but urself

  • Haha, you got mad! How pathetic! XD

Go buy a new brain at K-Mart, please.

  • So we sold our souls to devil. Big fucking deal! We won the war and they didn't, that is all that matters. All this crap about honer and glory is nothing but government BS. The only thing that matters in war is destroying the enemy down to the last man, woman, and child so they can never rise challenge you again. That is how you win a war. If you need nukes to make this happen, so be it, after all, war is hell.

  • The fact is that since Allies won WWII, we got a shit system on our planet today, that leads to World war III, When we had chance, we should akcept smaller evil for greater good, now there wont be any chance, all most danger basterds got theirs own mass destruction weapons, think about future sometimes then You may understand

  • And do you even have a clue what would have happened if the Axis had won? Obviously not.

  • Whatever it would be, for sure it would be better than it is now

  • well then instead of killing and finding ways to even kill beter, find a way for peace.

  • I think it´s awesome that you understand this, so when we are at war at each oder you wont take personal the fact of ne killing your mother your wife and your children, maybe eaven your dog for that matter, thanks mate, now we are cool, let me tell you I might rape them too, including the dog, no hard feelings mate! (^_^)b

  • I agree with you

ThunderChief666 general sherman had it right in the civil war, you hit the enemy HARD and get thing over quickly instead of draging it on forever

  • usa=shit

  • Don't be immature.

  • Is it just me or was that "Flying Fortress" just owned by a single spitfire?

  • strangely at it seem, yes.

  • yeah lol

  • yea, thought i'd be strange... 3 machine guns vs 1 .... hmmmm

  • They were German crews, they probably weren't trained or drilled for flying a b-17, not to mention that the Germans didnt have easily accessible parts, and the fact that it was probably originally shot down then captured, i dont blame them.

  • ..okay, that was nicely done by him, but we sold our souls to the devil just a year later anyway, so he just ended up as a dunce.

and a traitor to his country.

  • how could he know?

  • what they doing with a B17?

  • Enough of them were forced down over Germany that the Luftwaffe used quite a few for recon and infiltrating bomber formations. Don't know about transport like here, friendly fire would be an issue.

  • Germans captured B-17s, good idea too, they were bigger and stronger than

    JU-88s, thats for sure

  • transport a nuclear bomb

  • This movie's messege is what is important isn't which country(german or the other) would have won but how many people could have survived through the world war Ⅱ,

and he want A-bomb to kill no more people.

Then thanks to his desidance , nuclear was destroyed and many people could have survived.

Finally, he might have gave in to the war , but he won the Devil.

  • How bad ending. "The man who didn't sell his soul to the Devil." The man who kill the last chances of his home country. A coward maggot.

  • Oh yes such a horrible man for saving the lives of millions in many cities around the world. =/ Real coward there...

Choosing what you know is right over what a higher up has demanded you is a brave act. I applaud him.

  • Tank 152 ?

  • yes ... Kurt Tank or Ta 152

    last version fw190

  • WOW.

  • hitler and truman wanted the bomb for the same reason:

use it!!! thats all ! maybe this german soldier doesnt want

to use it but all the rest soldiers americans and germans

    will do.

  • all of you have not understand the video idiots !!

the german fighter pardon the life of the last british

plane....but the british doesnt make the same with

    the big german plane !!!

  • ese no es el significado del video , el significado es un estupido mensaje pacifista muy irreal ,que solo un tio que no ah sido militar pondria en un anime de guerra, ningun aleman haria eso

  • I figured that the fighter pilot allowed the destruction of the bomber in order to prevent the dropping of the nuke.

  • thats what i thought, seance he shot down a fighter after the bomber was shot down

  • and inside the bomber, his ex-girl friend was in. It was her wish to destroy A-bomb. Kind a love story too.

  • To PUNDRANSEMARIKAS:

shut up!i don´t understand why you are so hungry....this is only a FICTION STORY!the discution if a German Pilot was capable of doing sothing like that has no meaning!it´s only a great anime movie!

  • Sorry mate but i can´t agree with you.Luftwaffe pilots were great but so the british were when the flew against the germans in the BATTLE OF ENGLAND where the Luftwaffe had a great advantage in terms of number and quality of planes and they were defeated! So for me, and for all non fundamentalist persons, the author of the cockpit didn´t tried to give a bad image about german pilots just tell a fiction story about a nuclear bomb.

  • thats right. then i didnt think the luiftwaffe were Bad in first place... some mistakes made then again all sides do at times..

remember pick apples always one bad.

    tj

  • Radar won the Battle of Britain. Not any pilot. England had it and Germany didn't.

  • how ??

    tj

  • Matsumoto is a great genius!!!!!!!

  • tragic but thats war

  • very beauty

  • omg

  • Absolutely awesome. Thank you so much for the upload
