@velkom I don't think there is a public link for it. I must also add (to my last comment from 2009) that it seems to be a regional issue. In WA, I only have about 5 - 10% of my parcels missing or badly damaged which isn't bad. In QLD though, it was more like 30%. Not all posties are bad eggs either of course.
Royal Mail & USPS are superior to AUS POST- they're competitive and offer low shipping prices plus free insurance to customers- whereas our post overcharges customers anyway they can plus no compensation for lost/damaged items, even though insurance paid. I've sent Express/Reg mails & still mail gets lost- AUS POST takes no responsibility, I had to pay the customer money back.
There are scumbags in every facet of society, but I know I have intergrity in my job and I dont steal or mishandle. I am a parcel sorter and your precious objects of materialism are safe with me.
were you sending it or receiving it? if you sent it,perhaps the recipient got it but claims non-receipt and if it was sent to you, does the sender have proof they posted the item?
That was two years ago, now that the hiring of casual Post employees has accelerated, meaning no one has a proper job anymore this kind of thing will be even more prevalent.
The sad part is you won't hear about it because AP confronts these people with their crime they're asked to resign most do "case closed".
anyone who thinks that any ONE person stealing post is acceptable (like the numbnuts below suggesting we get over it) is probably a thief themselves. We entrust our parcels to these people, you don't get this in any other places which have high integrity. If we accept this happening here in Australia then we're just taking steps towards being a third world country.
Zero Tolerance on this is exactly what Aust Post should have
People are retarded- if ur gonna post something or buy something online make sure u give out d correct address!!! & get it sent as registered mail. D amount of shit that goes through d system with incorrect addresses and names is a joke sort ur shit out then complain!!!
I think the issue of parcels being completely DAMAGED through negligence by Aus Post is more prevalent that the odd (but not uncommon) instance of mail theft.
I have seen footage from some of the sorting facilities of these dirty bogans playing soccer with parcels and throwing items marked 'fragile' onto the ground with force.
i was going to buy something online today since I'm always busy, but I don't want to risk my package getting lost/stolen, so I'm going to go to the shop to buy it.
Australia Post is the best Postal service in the world at present, in terms of volume and delivery standards being meet or exceded, That certainly doesnt me people like the postal industry, as for the theft, same as people in retail, other government departments ect... at the end of the day, if trends are noticed, the bad apple can be removed,
probebly becouse you never had a parcel in the post, or this "sender" is a liar like most people on Ebay... or the twat put no address on it..... lots of twats out there
the sender is not from ebay and he sent me a scan of the invoice from auspost and they said they are investigating where it could of gone I think they stole and lost my parcel auspost
Calling other people "dik" show us what sort of quality you got. Not allow other ppl to have a different opinion than yours, further disappointed in you.
I am not saying Australia Post is bad, and they are not perfect either. Some people expect their regular mail to deliver every time without any problem. it's just impossible!
Scary, luckly I used tracking
