I love the Dead Kennedys and especially this song, both for its meaning and its sound. But don't the lyrics somewhat contradict Jello Biafra? I'm not trying to call him a "sell out" or anything, that'd just be fucking stupid. But I just find it to somewhat be hypocritical, since he was in the music video for Peace Sells by Megadeth, and MTV later went on to use the bass line from that song for MTV News for many years to follow. But he should be allowed to be in music videos, though. Just saying.

the band were at their best around '84. I watched them get pulled out of their van by the cops on the way out of the Dover N.J. show. they were all sitting on the curb, they had ranked pretty good on N.J. police that night and the cops got their way to rank back, DUI stop/ road block.

we just been hanging with them and then to see them all sitting on a curb on the highway. we were sober enough to get past the cops, but they had Jello and company. all we could do was wave at them!
