Marty, I've started watching your videos 6 months ago and I can say that when I go out and play guitar with my friends, some of them ask me how long do I play, and I say "about 6 months" and they don't believe me, they think it's much more. Thanks to power of Internet and especially YOU I'm getting better every day. I'm really amazed of how lessons are fun, educative and supercool to watch even if you're not interested in playing guitar. Thanks man again, really appreciating this! Peace
I love your videos, but your website does not work properly...does anyone check your messages??? How about your phone messages? Your voicemail box is full.
Your videos are always the best!!! These help so much in my day to day progress so keep doing what you do. I think everyone else feels the same way based on the comments.
hello marty,is there any chance you would do a lesson for the tony joe white song(the rory gallagher version)as the crow flies in open d please?love your site, many thanks
love the lesson, but am kindof curious. can someone explain why using the Gmajor chord works well with the Gminor blues scale? i mean it sounds amazing, but i dont really understand the theory for mixing minor and major chords/scales i guess.
Quick question: It looks like the G blues scale you are using here in the key of G is a G minor blues scale, but in your Country and Folk Style Lead Guitar Lesson, you used an E minor (G major?) blues scale in the key of G. Which one is correct? Or how do you decide when to use which scale in the key of G? What's the difference?
Hey Marty, so if your using the G blues scale, where does the blues run start? I realize its a whole step before, but does that still apply using the key of G, and can you still use the "open chords" with all of these concepts too?
are they sure they remember to put the voice recognition into the program I think if they pulled random words out of the dictionary it would be just as accurate ;)
WOW I saw two lines that were correct wonder if they are dynamic as in each time you watch different or if it does it once and thats the best you get?
My prayer answered. I've just finished disc 6 of the Easy Songs have dvd's 7-9 to go and then hopefully you'll have released the acoustic blues set by then. I can't even begin to thank you for how much my playing has improved with your lessons. My dog, Auggie, no longer leaves the room when I play, he lays on my feet and settles in.
To anyone just getting started out there, you are lucky to have found this guy at the start of your journey.
oh man i totally agree! been a fan for a year and 3 months now, and the chicks dig me! thanks to marty im the cool musician class clown guy! just the name i wanted to have. im thirteen, so its awesome to me. i wouldve never learned this much on my own. next step: reading music
Nice lesson, mixing single note runs with chords is where I am at and that takes some coordination to get the timing and accents right. Whew! Just use to be a finger picker now getting into those chords to mix it up.
Hey I would like to know(If anyone can help me with this)I am confused on the fact lets say I play the basic blues scale pattern when soloing do I have to stay in the pattern or can I move around as long as I hit the notes in the pattern?
hey marty u inspired me to try to make guitar lessons myself thanks man heres my first one ha so everyone watch and comment!!! especially u marty but be 100%HONEST LOL
