@christhamvp but he didnt, and the human darth vador was far more better then he was as a cyborg darth vador,, obiwan beat anakin when anakin was pritty much at his peek of what he ever would be, becouse after obiwan chopped off his limbs and anakin became the black cyborg darth vador he was very slow and wasnt as good anymore,, a very young luke was able to beat him also,, anakin is over rated, its just his story that people like, but as for being a jedi, luke became far better

@JOKAWILD26 - Obi Wan beat Anakin when Anakin was still very young. He was only a Jedi Knight for about 3 years before he turned to the dark side. Obi Wan was a Knight for decades and was a Jedi Master when he faced Anakin.

Anakin was the chosen one and would have went on to be one of the most, if not the most, powerful Jedi ever if he didn't fall to the dark side.

@christhamvp but he DIDNT become that, & never will become a powerfull jedi, and after anakin ended up in that cyborg suit, he wasnt shit anymore, he was to slow, and wasnt able to use the force as good anymore gorge lucas said,, and as darth vador he got beat by a very young luke skywalker, and he got beat by starkiller, and as human got beat by obiwan, yoda even said in episode 3, the prophecy was missread, beside a VERY YOUNG obi wan beat darth maul !! anakin wouldnt have been able to do that

@JOKAWILD26 @JOKAWILD26 - What do you mean Anakin wouldn't have been able to defeat Maul? He defeated Maul as a cyborg (Maul was brought back to life by Sith who felt Vader was too much of a Jedi to be a Sith Lord).

Anakin also defeated Count Dooku who whooped Obi-Wans ass and easily knocked him out of the fight. Anakin in his early 20's was already on the same level as Jedi Masters and Sith Lords.

And the prophecy was not false. Anakin was the one who brought balance by killing the Emperor.

all I have to say is that what Anakin did was REALLY stupid. In becoming evil to "save" pademe, he killed her and doomed himself and almost killed his kids and mascacered a TON of people, children and force sensitives, and eas somewhat responsible for a destruction of a planet. hmmm, I think if you compare the unproven possible survival of your love or murdering and swearing you alegance to evil, I would choose the later one.

@ pupskannake I think that Lucas was genius in bringing the six movies together, and how the small slave boy was the chosen one and did destroy the sith, but what it took for that to come about. The great moral of the story is that the greater the triumph the greater the cost. The Galaxy sacrificed almost everything for Anakin to be reborn inside the second Death Star and destroy the sith.

I think that by balancing this force, as they said the chosen one would do, he did before he got into his famous suit. He did bring "balance" to the force by helping sidous wipe out most of the jedi, so that only a few jedi and sith were left.

Actually, in the books it said he did fulfill the prophecy, but by the death of himself. He did kill Palpatine, and he did sacrifice himself for Luke, in the end he overthrew the Dark Side.

Palpatine transferred his soul into a clone body he kept on the planet Byss. It is C-Canon. Basically, EU canon. George Lucas' canon is included in the EU, but his canon doesn't include much of the EU (except select characters).

For the record, Palpatine returns in Dark Empire I and II and is finally killed in Empire's End (which is just a continuation of Dark Empire II)

But if you watch it from ep 1, it ruins the old trilogy for 2 very important reasons. finding out vader is lukes father and leias his sister, that was a massive twist.

@johnkerry7 The writing for the prequel trilogy was incredibly weak. There's no debate that it was epic, but there's not much else there other than exciting battles.

Ironically, George Lucas felt that the editors ruined his vision for the original trilogy.

As Sith following Bane's Rule of Two, they would never allow anyone who had the potential to become Sith to survive, if they did not intend to replace themselves one day with said person. If Anakin were to spare any of the younglings, it would be just one, and he would have had to do so in secret. At the time, he had only just become an apprentice, and wouldn't want to take on one of his own.

No, he didn't die. He went into an almost eternal slumber, until he was awoken in the six film. Its a shame though, he could have been a boss jedi. But at least he brought balance to the force in the end by destroying the last of the sith. But then his like great great grandson became a sith because he thought it would save his family or something... Ah, what a shame.

No. Padme was not strong enough in the force (infact, i don't even think she had any connections at all except for being made of those clorian things). Anakin would be able to see Obi-Wan, Yoda and soon Luke when he passed. I think Anakin is probably Starwars best character, his deveopment is amazing i think. His family gets stronger though when the line goes down. Caze Skywalker is apparantley the most powerful and coolest skywalker (he's a smuggler and jedi i think).

Oh i don't know. I just know that Caze took on three sith lords by himself and won, and he gave up jedi training as a young child, to return to it shortly before he defeated them. Anyway, Anakin is probably the strongest and best. I wish he didn't die, thats why if they started the films in order they would have turned out way better, instead of making the first three then (not prequels as they are part of the saga) the prior episodes.

Well, i don't think Anakin had that sort of wisdom and ability to lead. He was only able to satisfy his individual needs opposed to others. He thought that he was weak and thats why he joined the dark side, to gain more power, in which case he didn't need any as Palpatine lied. If he hadn't killed every damn jedi in the galaxy then it might have been pretty cool.

Are you sure he was 23? The first one he looked about 10 or 11, then the second was a decade later, so 20 or 21, and then he seems a lot more experienced, at least 4 or 5 i would say.

So episode two is 10 years later from episode 1 so he is 19 then revenge of the sith is 3-4 years later so he is 22-23
