  • if you google md80, you can find lots of hacks ppl made to this cam.

  • How did you update the time? Does the time auto update each time you shut the camera off or does it revert back to 2007/01/01? The instructions are horribly written!

  • @tempest77 don't use the .BAT file. its useless. just take the original time.txt file from your supplied cd and do this:

    1. change values of year/mm/dd hh/mm/ss according to the current date and time

    2. save and copy the file to the root folder of your camera's memory card

    3. unplug camera and restart

done! lemme know if it works out for you.

  • I think I need to reinstall it, I'll try that now, thanks!

  • Excellent, glad you got a better unit! Anyone notice there cursor isn't showing up on youtube? ODD, might have to redo my pc, ugh.

  • @HostileHST That's a very common problem with Adobe Flash. I know it sucks but the only way to get it back is to restart your internet browser. Happens EVERYTIME I use DivX with Firefox. It will just disappear and I have to use my best guesstimate to relocate it lol

  • Just got a response from another youtuber and his records till the card is full, He added this: "If you switch it to sound-sensitive mode, it'll record for 2 minutes after the last loud sound it detected". Is it possible you had it in the wrong mode? Might need firmware updated or redone if it even allows updates.

  • @HostileHST Thanks for the reply. This thing doesn't support any firmware updates haha. It's a cheapo china made cam. I just returned it an hour ago and bought the cheaper version of it instead. AVLogic MLG-100CM...also goes by the name...iView-100CM and AEE MD80. Quality of the cheaper one seems to be much better during daytime and can actually read number plates lol.

  • Some cards can cause that along with jitter if the cards class is too slow.

  • @HostileHST I am using a Class 6 card so there shouldn't be any problems at all. Other youtube videos of my same camera also exhibit the same problem.
