  • Sorry about your luck friend... I've had this projector for a year now and have had no problems with it, knock on wood.

  • its messed up massive dust on the color wheel thats in the unfiltered air stream ! the first PJ551d died 3 weeks after it arrived . this new one lasted only 6 months 690 lamp hrs before dust on the color wheel made the picture dull and large white circles showed up in blacks . sure the optics are sealed but the color wheel gets coated . avoid this projector its a POS , great HD picture when its working not dependable Viewsonic sent a reman projector after i was promised new AVIOD VIEWSONIC

  • its in HD using a home made breakout cable made from an old DIN15 computer monitor cable . just cut it open and attach RCA jacks to the thick RGB lines, the sheilding is common to all three snip the little wires . you have a free break out cable . its the res of the cannon a550 still camera video that makes it look bad . its not a panasonic ax200 but the PJ551d is a great low cost projector , its used in the kids Cave and cost me $559 with a free extra lamp . a year ago ,very bright

  • I've got the same projector... How did you hook it up? It looks like you're using the composite connections... Get a component to VGA adapter cable to get an HD signal... That's what I did, there's no comparison.
