m00dyz, I know this all too well! I had two embden ganders, and spent that summer that I had them with many welts and bruises on my legs! It didn't help that I had teased them as babies either....never did that again!!
Their use as guard animals isn't unknown. An old professor once told me about the time he and a friend trespassed on a farm to go fishing. He heard his friend a couple hundred feet upstream, screaming, and ran up to find him on his back, a gaggle of geese beating the crap out of him. They'd beat the guy down with their wings when he tried to get up, and their bites left many nasty welts. Prof had to fight them off with a stick.
