AROS is the perfect OS for a ROM based concept that I have. Fast, light, secure, and small. Combine that with hardware no one has ever seen the likes of, hardware that would put Geek Squad out of business because even granny can find and install RAM, hard drives, graphics cards, etc that work without drivers being loaded or other such issues.
I am sorry you had an unpleasant experience but you have to remember that not all computers and hardware are supported. For a better experience and more compatibility please visit icarosdesktop
I downloaded the latest version of the AROS live CD last night. It booted up but I couldn't do anything with it. When I used the file browser to peruse the live CD directories for sample programs or games or whatever, it showed multiple hidden files.
@italiansmoothie i downloaded the latest owb.but it doesnt start, the pc crashes always,i ahve the i386 32 bit version which works good.but realy they must put a browser, its a must in these times.and one which allowes to play flash videos please
@abstractT Yeah it came out for AROS a long time ago... :) But I'm not going to use AROS until some neat drivers appear (especially sound, I don't want to buy a special sound card AND the driver).
should port it onto ARM

I wasn't aware that AROS was still around. I assumed the project had died. I think I'll go get a new release and give it a try :)

Fast, AND furry-friendly! :)
Did Eric Schwartz do the kitty logo? Looks a little like his style.

>furry-friendly
That must be why the logo of vmwAROS is just a stylized eye :-D

nice vid but might have been better to show it without speeding it up so people could see the actual speed.
