its easy: play fallout 3 with FWE mod for challange, disable background music, download Fallout 1+2 music and play it in the background. MUCH MUCH greater experiance than vanilla Fallout 3, even New Vegas

Why do people hate Fallout 3? Yes, Fallout 1 & 2 are better but that doesn't mean Fallout 3 sucks. Fallout 3 is okay, it's not bad.

I love the ambience in fallout 1 and 2, I love fallout 3 also.

although, I do lose patience with the combat system in 1 and 2, other than that they are amazing

The music in the first 2 games always made the game feel real creepy. FO 3 definitely lacked that. Also the music didn't just sound creepy, it always gave you like a sense that something was not right. and boy was something not right when you found out that the vaults were simply an experiment to see how humans would react in isolation. (To build a space ship later on that would take years to traverse the stars to another planet) Yes, the game gets very in depth and fucked! But it is awesome!

@kostolomac222 totally agree! fallout 3 has freaking oblivion music ... i imagine butterflies flying around when i hear it not a desolate... you get the point... NV is a bit better there, but still they can't come near f2 (tho i heard some pieces of f2 music in NV). Now both f3 and nv are good games, for me they just aren't good fallout games :/
