  • Classic song..Don't make 'em like this anymore!

  • Poignant but true tale of the ramblin' man. I was one and lost my number one fan 25 years ago,...lived to regret it ever since.

  • This rips me up every time...

  • I feel in love with a man from Tennessee and he broke my heart. I will never be the same. Every time I hear this song I cry.

  • @Remulakfubar i do to

  • Still brings me to my knees after all these years .... Thank you, Dave Loggins.

  • @31Alden I know what you mean. I cry a river over this song but the guy who I cry over doesn't give a shit.

  • @dawnlarueful dawn you just need some one new a man real man who can care for you no matter what a man does not leave a women

  • @appleman2500

Tell me where these real men are. They are few and far between. I thought he was one. I fell in love with him when he was ramblin. Are all southern men heartbreakers.

  • Still get goosebumps....after all these years....my favorite cover is my Kenny Chesney, but nothing beats the original

  • THIS CLASSIC - OFTEN COPIED - NEVER EQUALLED !!!

  • A California life is too hard to build alone. Though a California life is what I want, I still have yet to find a girl who wants to move there with an artist and a dreamer. I'm twenty two so hopefully I have the time and I find her. :)

  • Oh I've cried many tears to this song. Drinking in a bar or wherever and this song is so awesome. Will never get tired of it.

  • I want to go back too.

  • I love this song.

  • She followed me so many places without hesitation. Thank you sweetheart

  • this is poetry for me...

  • @Remulakfubar

"Sometimes the best vacation place is the past" Merlin (Camelot 1967)

  • <<< herself drinking copiously. This is for my Brother Beaudene who is currently rambling about. Yes that is his name...and no he aint got no cell phone. Unsupervised (?) Well no he is not being monitored....who is this? Did we not speak before. Oh jeeze.

  • @Remulakfubar me too!

  • Such a Great Song !!!

  • I can't imagine anyone singing this better and with more feeling! What year was this released? Remember it from my youth but don't know exactly when it came out. Another great song from the good ol days!

  • Kenny Chesney does a version of this song.

  • @cb2k761 who gives a shit about kenney chesney

  • @Remulakfubar Me too! Such fond memories from my youth!

  • I left Chicago when I was 10 when my parents moved us to Los Angeles. It's so true "a California life alone is just too hard to build"

  • Ah yes the memories of a young aussie bloke on a road trip in the states back in 1980. This song and those visions live with me today.

  • @Remulakfubar it's just an amazing song from an amazing talent... ♥

  • Great song from my childhood. I always wanted my preschool class to sing this song instead of the "Alphabet Song" or "How Much Is That Doggie in the Window". I wonder how the story of the song ends. Does he stop moving west? I guess he must, because there's no verse about "Please come to Honolulu", "Please Come to Tokyo", or "Please Come to Bankok". Eventually it would have been "Please Come to Boston" again and the song would never end.

  • Great slideshow. I commend you.

  • LEGAL DRUGS COMRADE

  • You did a great job with this slide video,Its very fitting for the song. BRAVO!

  • @poiuytrewq171717 David Alan Coes deffinetly only did a cover on this...

  • This was David Alan Coes song and this douche ruined it.

  • @poiuytrewq171717 no it wasnt loggins worte this song smart guy

  • @poiuytrewq171717 FAIL! Dave Loggins from Loggins and Messina

  • @roachiebkk Ah actually not L and M but he did contribute a lot to his cousin Kenny's success. But Please Come to Boston is definitely his.

  • Love this song!! Especially the "please come to Denver part!" This is one of the many songs that I love.

  • I was born in Lawrence, MA

I want to relive these good times

  • Amazing compulation of pictures,, You did a killer job of editing..........

  • when i was on the road for a month after i got kicked out of my fathers house. this was the first song i herd. the saddest part is how far away i was from his house when he called. even sadder. this song brought me back to what i wanted to do for so long. now i look back at that day and think of what i coulda done that month

  • If you are from Tennesse you understand exactly what this song means. My beloved Tennessee.

  • @Q45t I live in Tennessee, too.

  • @LADYLONEWOLF1 yeah good new music is few and far between

  • It is so weird that as time goes by everything around me seems to be getting older but me. This was a great song from my childhood simpler times for sure.

  • From the time when my heart was free, and my soul relaxed. I had just returned from Viet-Nam and this was out.

  • Love love this song!!!

  • Loved this song frm the first time I heard it..sooo much emotion!!

  • I live in Tennessee

  • i am always in boston, but would not want to live there. great song though.

  • THIS IS WHY I DRINK

  • @doejeff

    omg!! That's damn funny

  • @doejeff "Tink"..Cheers

  • @doejeff Funny you say that...because I certainly consumed my share of liquor and inhaled rooms full of smoke while tears poured down my face while losing myself in this song and its potent wording.

  • An awesome song, (IMHO); classic and timeless.

  • classic oldtimes music to lisen anytime...

  • I always thought Harry Chapin sang this song

  • On every video comment section folks crap on Justin Beiber- get over it! Must everyone diss on this young man who is loved by 12 year old girls? Jealous? Sick of it!

  • What's a Beiber ?

  • WHO cares about Justin Biver (I know DON'T tell me to check my spelling)

  • ♥ i will forever love this song

  • who didnt want to feel like this soung makes Love sound!

  • Great tune. Reminds me of Fort Dix, NJ. Was at my first boot camp when this tune came out. Fantastic time of life. Those were the days.

  • Those who disliked, do not know what they're missing. One of my favs, thanks for uploading.

  • This is one of those songs you really like but don't listen to because it depresses you so much it makes you want to blow your brains out.

  • I love this song, used to listen to it every nite trucking from north carolina to california and back.... :-)

  • Classic!

  • great job on the slide show..goes really good with the song..enjoyed it very much..thanks..

  • @labmastersteve A homo in love with Kenny Fagny?

  • @SteveSbc406 Says the guy who showed up to not only VIEW / LISTEN to this song, but to critique nearly everyone's comments in the process.

    Way to go genius....

  • @chesneyisGOD You're completely out of your mind. Kenny's rendition of this song is weak in comparison... It doesn't even come close.

  • @amelia298 You're only 7 yo? hehehe

  • @SteveSbc406 that was muhh friend. not mee. Haha.

  • Back when country was country

  • @kramerdog27 Coe absolutely did not write this song.

  • @therick106 Kenny's rendition of the song doesn't even compare to this.

  • @MusicGirl120 Kenny's version doesn't even come close to this. He's not in the same league.

  • @Koz07 That's absolutely false. David Allen Coe Most certainly did not write "Please Come To Boston." He may have made that statement, but it was nothing more than a joke.

  • @SteveSbc406 You are right steve, it was David's word that led me to think it was his song. Thanks for getting the true facts out about this great song. Keep up the good work and have a nice day. Peace Koz07.

  • @soundgarden700

I used to watch Little Hse on the Prairie (remember Laura), Happy Days (the Fonz, Mr C, Ron Howard, too).

  • the most beautiful lyrics -- voice combination of all time

  • Well done!! I LOVE the song...

  • LOVE IT!!!WHEN i HEAR ZAC BROWNS SONG ( COLDER WEATHER) ,THIS SONG COMES TO MIND!!

  • Beautiful ♥

  • I have loved this song since I was a teenager and I hope that my family will play it at my funeral -- love to all

  • how can you not like

  • Beautiful song! But the woman is mean. I would've gone to Boston with him. lol

  • @Zurcness

I actually met Dave Loggins in 1984 or 1985 I think it was. At a country club in Knoxville TN. It was a golf fund raiser, I told him NO when he asked me to go with him to California with him.

Had he been sober. . .I would have considered the proposition.

  • I wasn't born in the mid 1970's when this song came out but my parents did and they tell me that songs like this one remind them of the good times they experienced growing up and of the t.v. shows at the time: Little House on the Prairie, the Waltons-John Boy and Happy Days etc. I've watched these shows on dvd. They sure don't have good t.v. shows like that anymore.

  • @soundgarden700 You just named all the shows my mom watched! Funny how our parents grew up around the same stuff. ^^

  • I love the video and this is one of my all time favorite song especially to the one I need the most and miss every day with every breathe I take ,.... Love you

  • the guitar work in this is exquisite..and loggins has a soothing voice..thanks ever so much for finding this!! ;)

  • What does Justin Bieber or his fans know about a classic like this? You young turks are still wet behind the ears

  • love this song, but the stoopid bitch shoulda gone with him.

  • Jimmy Buffet has a unique voice, cool to listen too.

  • @TheShondoya This isn't Jimmy Buffet. This Dave Loggins.

  • @smj4535 Oops thankyou for clearing that up for me.

  • @TheShondoya oops, thanks for clearing that up.

  • @TheShondoya No prob. Accents can make voices sound alike. I confuse Neil Diamond and Andy Kim sometimes.

  • @smj4535 I think they brewed up Andy Kim to help wean Neilaholics off without giving them the shakes. It's kinda like "Near Neil", get the fix, without the kicks!

  • @bigfootskitty No offense to Andy, but I think he's as flat as a cheap soda. His heart just isn't in the music.

  • The theme song for Whitey Bulger.

  • Hearing this song and looking at this awesome slide show made my day! All of it brought back some of the best memories of my life. Who is Justin Bieber? And who in their right mind would be a fan?

  • Stanley came this spring......

  • vkb1959 I'm sure he's singing for the angels and telling stories of you.

  • Cool video. My gypsy heart has always loved this song.

  • Excellent job on the video! Thank you for posting, I LOVE this song! ...have loved it all my life!

  • Excellent job on the video! Thank you for posting, I LOVE this song! ...have loved it all my life

  • I am leaving for New Mexico, I'll be there waiting....I wont be hard to find

  • @razoredge45 That's comforting.

  • This is the soul missing in so much of today's music. As the soul has been slowly eroded in music; so goes the soul of a nation. A revival of this sort of sound would change the existing paradigm for so much good.

  • AMAZING Song...........................

  • i remember when karaoke first came out and the bartender/owner put this song on and asked me to sing it just to test it out...i got laid that night.

  • it is a great video and a great song makes me think of my future Mrs and our wedding in july

  • I have been dating this wonderful man for a couple years and he is really special to me.We have made it clear that when the time comes we will go our separate ways.

He plans on going back to either Boulder or Denver. The time is just around the corner. It is just coming too fast. I love the way this song is sung. It hurts, but I have plans of my own, to go west. Live life to the fullest. Have no regrets.

  • 11 Justin Bieber fans found this page and disliked.

  • I must say, Jackopierce's version is better.....

  • @soccerbabe1809

You're an idiot. That Jackopierce thing is annoying and a poor attempt. Dave Loggins is the original and best performer of Please Come to Boston.

  • @willowyblonde11 Personal opinion.

  • Excellent video!Thanks.

  • This is the song for those whom have tried to make things work and something happen that would change a persons life for a lifetime

  • My husband loved to play guitar and sing. He passed away suddenly this past year. He used to sing & serenade me for hours, but there were many nights when we would be in bed and I would sing to him,ha...Usually this very song and he loved it.(even as bad as my singing was, lol) It's words sounded like us a little...aaaaww, memories. I love you Allen !!

  • @vkb1959 Hell yes. Beautiful. Long live your love for Allen. Thanks for watching my video, and I'm glad you enjoy this song. It's very special to me. Nearly half a million views which means nearly half a million people have seen a piece of my heart. Love forever. You know who you are. And, for what it's worth, I'm very, very sorry.

  • @guitar2heroes

good luck, I hope you are forgiven. If you had done this for me, were I the one mad at you, I would forgive you a lot, maybe not everything, but a lot.

  • @Pansysmum Many thanks for the sentiments. I have a lot to be sorry for, but only a little to be forgiven for, admittedly. I hope you enjoyed the song.

  • @guitar2heroes so memories. I love it always will school days for me.

  • @vkb1959 My condolences. I am glad that you have such great memories. Keep them. This is a great song and has so many fond memories for me as well. Best wishes.

  • @nsidcenter Thanks, and they are great memories I cherish. I always wondered, when listening to this song, what it would really be like to live (even only a little while) the 2nd verse. Just me and the 1 that I loved. Imagining yelling " I love you's" and then hours later...hearing them come back around! WOW, even as cold as it was outside, that would be worth it!! Best wishes to you too.

  • @vkb1959 That's so cool!! Thanks for sharing..

  • @take3x3 My pleasure. I wish I'd had lived out parts of this song with Allen. To have that in my box of memories would have been the ultimate. That's romance. Just one on one time together. No distractions at all, just peace.

  • @vkb1959 Bless you. Your husband was a lucky guy.

  • @vkb1959 so sad, i hope you husband illuminates your dreams with his music soon !!

  • @vkb1959 God bless you dear.

  • @vkb1959 dont know you....but I am sorry abou that.

  • @vkb1959 May your memories bring you comfort.

  • @vkb1959 Oh how beautiful, but sad also. Thank god you have good memories of your man. I have a man that I am married to for 17 yrs and I feel so lonely. It's a shame to not appreciate simple things, and memories. God bless you.

  • The ole saying love is blind was not just made up. Thank god for that. For the ones we love and who love us overlook our short comings. Especially when we do sing, whether it is in the shower right out loud or out there for for the world to see.

They see us as heros, miracle workers, and magical.

I hope that life is easier for you now. There is a peace that comes after a loss.

My wish is that you find that peace and it wraps you with what is most comforting for you.

    Diana

  • @vkb1959 I am so sorry for your loss. Good memories - hold onto them.

  • @vkb1959 God Bless you. I lost my husband (my best friend) in 1998. It's hard. But you already know that.

  • @vkb1959 i lost my dad this year and he also played guitar and sang, and this song reminds me of him,i was a rambler from the day i turned 18 and he always would tell me to come home because there was no other place that i would go that would be like home. once i finally did after 12 years i realized he was right

  • @TheGump1973 Your dad missed you. .Glad you went home.!

  • Aged to perfection…Thank you!

  • this is kenny loggins cousin, when they are not in boston they are in the danger zone!

  • What a great song thanks for the post

  • @texasproof,thank u I thought he had but was not sure, this is really a great video I am really into led zeppelin but this song really hit a cord, I really love it.

  • I wonder who wrote the song?

  • @rebelso1560

    Dave Loggins lol

  • Always loved this song.

    Thank you.

  • Gorgeous song....so many memories from when it came out--thanks for the video...and so many yrs later still nothing different about a man who's a drifter...

  • it was the summer of '74, my father and I took the one hour drive to work, WJR on the car stereo; with high school looming in the fall ahead, I got to know my Dad that summer. He was his work; it was only then I was able to glimpse a bit of the complex soulful man that maintained a masked facade, the hard-learned countenance circumstantial to his life and times. This song puts me right back in the passenger seat beside him. pop radio summer of 1974 (today with xway, its ten minutes)

  • This dude's son is my best friend

  • Good song that makes you wonder about the loves you left behind.

  • I love this song and always will. The gentle sensitivity of the logistics of happiness in love, appreciation for time together in new places with old hearts ~ There is no other quite like it and it reminds me of the first man I ever loved and makes me cry....and cry.....

  • OK so 10 assholes "disliked" this song, WHY? What are you Bieber fans? This is REAL music people!
