I find it upsetting that EVERYONE now refers to our representatives as the "government". It took a while but pretty much all Americans now believe that THEY are RULED by the people they elect to REPRESENT their wishes. Somehow, over the decades, the rulers of the U.S., the American PEOPLE, have been led to believe that "officials" in Washington tell THEM what to do. Write your "representatives" on ANY issue with which you don't agree & you will receive a form letter saying "TOUGH!".
"Let me jump in Peter! Let me finish Peter!" Will these twats (Busch) ever learn the proper respect for a guy who's been right time after time? Why should we listen to people who aren't even smart enough to realize they're the latest pack of jerks to argue with Schiffy then disappear after he's proven right once again?
Schiff is right....you can't counter freemarket fluctuations with socialist government control, regulation or interjection and have it have the pliability necessary for the market to be the self healing organic thing it is intended to be.....history is clear about the result of two conflicting economic policies colliding.......it takes longer than neccessary to fix....it is either one or the other....and it took freaking WW2 to end the decade long stagnation that resulted.
@bluehorse888 you're an idiot. He knows because he studied the right economics. You can too, but you chose to listen to those morons from MSNBC. Congratulations, you fail.
Andy in the glasses is a network socialist talking head. "Federal regulation is coming.." By letting ONE federal agency to oversee the finance sector? He says we don't have a choice. Peter says we have to resist. He openly laughs when Peter says the Gov't is at fault. This is PROPAGANDA to make Peter's idea's seem ridiculous. YOUR"RE BEING MANIPULATED
Cut defense budget 50% (pull all troops home); remove all personal and small bus income tax; These two actions alone revive the economy and give people real incentive to work again.

Just remember, this guy Peter Schiff manages funds that lost more than 65% of their value in the last year. If he had done nothing, even with the market collapse, he would only have lost 40%. So, he made issues worse for people who followed his advice.
Sure, he predicted the neighborhood was going to burn down in the great fire. But his answer to the problem isn't to call the fire department, but instead to set-off a bunch of nuclear weapons throughout the area, and you think that is good?
65% loss by Schiff's firm is nothing compared to most investment firms that placed their faith into the US dollar, the stock market, and risky ARM and sub-prime backed securities. Everybody lost money, but Peter's wealth will remain much more steady due to the process of decoupling, a concept you clearly don't understand.
Your nuclear analogy could not be further off base. The nukes are being set off by the fed by pumping an astronomical amount of false liquidity into the market.
wrong... If your figures are correct, what is 65% loss compared to bankruptcy? The company isn't broke, and it will adjust accordingly. Many financial institutions hurt, but only those that understand true Mises economics, not Keynesian, will know how to survive.
These people arguing with Peter are MORONS.the guy in the (bottom right) wants us to follow the same FAILED policies that are now reaching a cliff. He's saying be real Peter we can't change our direction but we can slow the pace to our demise. The idiot in the top left obviously does not know history. Peter is the Mr Wizard of economics. To bad the rest of these shlubbs haven't woken up to reality, and probably wont until the government controls every aspect of our economy and financial systems. But by that time we will be back in a depression with everyone saying, "Wow, he was right".

Peter Schiff is always person I love to hear and watch him school the MSM pundits, they try in vain to counter his arguments. It's a lie they want so badly to be true, that they continue to coax people into trusting in them. The "have now, pay later" philosophy/ploy/scam has ripped this land to shreds. Arrrrrrrrg. Gets me so mad....
Lets not forget all the American Mutual funds, stock market, financial instruments, derivatives, savings accounts/ CDs/ U.S. bonds at no interest, a sinking dollar, & upcoming hyperinflationary depression that has scared Americans to his firm where he makes commissions similar to most of the brokerage house that are now asking for a bailout. He offers a full analysis on conservative stocks at 6-25% Div. Yield in stronger currencies, Perth Mint & other choices then this sinking ship.
I wish Mr. Schiff would have reminded the fat fellow that government backing, via FDIC insurance and the central banking system, is the only way that financial institutions could be levered 10 to 1, much less 40 to 1. If not for a central bank they could not exist for very long.
Peter is the man. He is always right. Has been for years. Those who did not use their ears to hear Schiff over the past 8 years are now pounding their faces against their repo'd fridge, sitting in a house they are about to be evicted from, as their stomach swells from hunger. Listen to Schiff and know that the dollar is collapsing. If you don't. Well who cares, be that guy then.
We need to print more money. If we print a million bucks for every American, everyone will be a millionaire! Quantitative easing, liquidity injection and economic stimulus and other measures: they sound fancy and they are very sophisticated terms made up by very sophisticated people. WWII ended the great depression; lets attack Canada and take their land and natural resources to end this depression. Sorry loonies, we need to do it!
It's not too late to vote for Ron Paul in 2012. Reagan was unelectable in 76 dont forget. Thank you for posting, but I believe all fiat currencies are headed straight to hell, i think the metals will have to be used to standardize the currencies and provide the needed discipline. Thank God he said the Fed caused it, Bill Fleckenstein said this for years!
with all you people agreeing with Peter, i trust you all voted for Ron Paul? little too late. most people who are listening and agreeing should have listened and agreed a few months ago. what a shame.
Here's a typical CNBC/Fox segment: Thanks for being with us Peter! Well, it looks like you've been right about everything for the past few years, but this week we think you're totally full of shit, and we've got three people here to disagree with you.

I am downright scared of those other commentators.
"This is all the free markets fault"?!!
Ignorant and anti-american to the EXTREME. So this is the new attitude today... free markets are bad? Am I the only who sees where that will take us?

Peter's one of the few telling it like it is. The rest of them are listening to what the network tells them to say.

Peter's right on with the analysis. He is letting psychological healing occur by telling the truth. Let him do so. :D

America: Isn't it about time we listen to the guys who have been RIGHT about this crisis and blame government intervention and fiat currency?
Mainstream Media: NO. Not yet. Not till more people suffer for much longer. And pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!
