  • tough crowd sorta

Also, ive noticed Peter has a fixation with rasberries.

  • In the Music Hall days there was a performer called Sam Mayo who was billed "The Immobile One". Dressed in a brown dressing gown he would sit at a piano or stand facing his audience totally expressionless and deliver his songs and patter in a very similar way to this.

His songs were also far removed from the traditional music hall ethos stuff as well.

Check out "Sam Mayo Things are worse in Russia" which dates from 1922.

  • Oh EL where art thou ? Returneth unto me

Any ideas where this is from? I'm guessing late 70s. What show???

  • I've not got all the details but I think its from a one off show called '20 years on...'(?), aired in 1985 and presented by David Frost.

The piece is actually called Prejudice not Macism! Sry.

  • Peter Cook monologs as E. L. Wistie were a regular feature of the Bernard Braden Show on British ITV.

  • top class thank you, never seen this one before and E.L. Wisty is a favourite ofcourse.
