alright, a bit of an argument here..... silent hill is NOT a shooter, origins and homecoming are shooters (shattered memories isnt but it still sucked) but those games aren't silent hill games. silent hill 1-4 are because they were made by team silent, oringins-shattered memories are made by idiots.

ok dude im going to clear up what i said the first time but if you acually played silent hill or seen somebody play it you would know that rhe whole time you dont really use your gun you save your gun for the bosses but i do agree re4 and 5 arnt really survival horror games but dude you spend the whole time bashing ign and other survival horror games that apperently dont fit your critera for real survival horror games

i love A.i.t.d Style it captures what Survival horror means even tho its a bit extreme at times its still good at my opinion.And personaly im getting tired of shooting monsters like a raged monkey...i prefer killing a monster with a bloody pipe!!!

I loved Alone in the Dark 5! I've played it on the 360 and wii. I am kinda mad about the wii version though cause they didn't use the wii's full ability, not even CLOSE to the full ability. And due to my 360 out of comission, and my bro leaving for collage, I am 360less.... which sucks, very badly.....

i think you have to understand, resident evil 4 isnt survival horror, its action horror. It's a different take on the RE format which in actual fact was a huge success and one of the best games out there and relaunched a lagging franchise. As for Alone In the Dark, well I haven't played it but it looks interesting (the new one).
