@bmwm3cs there was an article in Vintage Guitar that said that running a variac LOWER than normal has no damaging effects to an amp. Its running ABOVE the normal voltage that hurts your amp.

Shows how a great amp can really make even the junky Boss Distortion sound good! Is that clone Plexi master volume equipped? There's a nice chunk tone without any pedals.

PS--I like the way the Guvnor sounds out of all the pedals, go figure!
