In Titus 1:16, the bible states that although many people profess Christ with their mouth, their lifestyles show that they deny Him (or believe that He doesn't exist).
I'm sure that's what she means by wearing her ex-athiest shirt because I was the same way. Although I was raised a Christian I did the things that God said His children shouldn't do, so i lived as if he didn't exist.

Christianity isn't a religion... it's a lifestyle. My lifestyle was atheist. I acted as if God didn't exist.
