I don't like Axl being there or Brian Johnson. Chris Cornell, Ian Gillan, Dio and Daltrey I am very surprised about. I thought they would be much higher up. But the list is kind of decent over all.
Freddie Mercury without a doubt, just look at his live aid performance,no costumes no gimmicks and he still had the crowd in the palm of his hand. Then look at his tribute concert packed with great singers but none could match his sound or stage presence.
I like James a lot as a frontman and vocalist, that's mainly because I absolutely love Metallica, he always bring an energy to the crowd even if he's having a fairly crappy day.
Freddie Mercury is the best. Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Mick Jagger should be higher up. I just want to say one more thing: It's not easy to be a good frontman in a band like Led Zeppelin where Jimmy Page and John Bonham can take all the attention, but Robert Plant does it pretty good.
imposible que robert plant haya sido elegido el mejor cantante de rock... hasta 24.Ian Gillan - Deep Purple lo puede superar sin ningun problema, ni hablemos del cantante de Dream Theater... Freddie Mercury (no acoto nada)
axl has a terrible voice, ZACH DE LA ROCHA SHOULD BE IN TOP 10 OR EVEN 5, SAME WITH JAMES LABRIE, JAMES LABRIE HAS THE GREATEST VOCAL RANGE IVE EVER SEEN, just look at incredible songs like Learning to Live or Octavarium, when he hits those F#5s, its incredible
James Labrie is nr.19. just look at the list on the right. sorry, zach de la rocha isnt in the list, but this was voted by youtubers. thanks for watching.
dude i thought you were cool when i saw your guitarist list but james labrie shouldn't even be in the top 50. zach de la rocha is a badass but james labrie sucks
By the way. You used Led Zep's Stairway To Heaven (their best song) Guns N Roses' Welcome to the Jungle (their most popular song) and Queen's We Are The Champions. (obviously not their best, all their songs are good but they have ALOT of songs better than that)
You could of chose a better song like Bohemian Rhapsody, Radio Gaga or one of Queen's best songs and see how they could blow any other band away.
I wanted to take songs everybody know. "stairway to heaven", "welcome to the jungle" and "we are the champions" are the most typical songs for their singers to me.
Especially "we are the champions" at "Live Aid" is one of the best shows ever if not the best. When I think of Queen in my head i see "Live Aid-we are the champions".
oh. In that case I respect your opinion. However, from my perspective when someone says Queen I think of '39, March of the Black Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, Fairy King (the song that gave Freddie his last name *Mercury*), etc.
However when we talk about singing skills I would normally choose Love Of My Life or songs that normally have high vocals to show Mercury's talent.
Also, Love Of My Life is a good example of how good Freddie was as a frotman/showman with his flamboyant entertainment and the way he made everyone sing along.
Another good example would be Radio Gaga and songs like those.
Critics: "Before he started alot of the rock singers were very common. They didn't have great individual personality on stage; Freddie gave that front man position so much character, he was better than any other performer in holding a live audience in the palm of his hand"
Critics: "Those who compile lists of Great Rock Frontmen and award the top spots to Mick Jagger, Robert Plant, John Lennon, etc. all are guilty of a terrible oversight. Freddie, as evidenced by his Dionysian Live Aid performance, was easily the most godlike of them all."
Freddie should be # 1. No one tops his 4-6 octave vocal range and flamboyant performances.
Sources: quotes, critics, vocal facts, David Bowie, tons of bands, etc.
David Bowie - "Of all the more theatrical rock performers, Freddie took it further than the rest." ... "He took it over the edge. And of course, I always admired a man who wears tights. I only saw him in concert once, and as they say, he was definitely a man who could hold an audience in the palm of his hand."
hahahahahaha. who the fuck voted Axl and James Hetfield in front of Bon?!!?!?!?!? Bon should be #2 or #3. Freddie should be first and Bon should be 2nd. Plant could barely hit the high notes live, except on the 3 live recordings that were done.
Axl is a douche on stage anyway. he fucking stops the song midway because he's a whiny little bitch who gets all pissed at ONE fan. James is okay but definately not in the top 5 or maybe even 10.
HAHA!!! Axl as number 2! You kidding right? Freddie blows Axl of stage. Axl as numer 10! Open your ears man!!! Plant and Freddie is the best on this one but you have forgot many
steve should be number one :)

You said it. The only one missing is the great Jim Morrison. But I think that's because it is hard rock front men.
This would be my top 4:
4.Bon Scott
3. Freddie Mercury (He's the best singer)
2. Robert Plant
1. Jim Morrison
(it was a coin flip for the top 2)
