it's weird that I can't stand country music but I listen to ours of Neko Case everyday. I even like zeppelin and the stones and stuff too but I found out about Neko off of a mix cd that I don't know where it came from. her music is so powerful and it moves me every song I hear.

@springbreaker173 Alternative used to loosely translate to rock with a punk accent. Something like that. Now it`s pretty much everything not played on a classic rock stations. Mainstream. This is more of an indie sound, in the likes of 10K Maniacs or Cowboy Junkies. Soft rock? Not alternative. I dunno, it`s just good, to me!

agreed. 100%. we kind of want to keep it to ourselves, how great she is, but we want her to get the audience her talent deserves.

i'm in Canada. she's like an honorary citizen up here. we always have this little crisis when "our" artists get successful. we sort of resent it (not the success), but the fact that it can't happen here. the country's too big (size) AND too small (population) at the same time.
