@jsrcamp I am a customer service manager at WalMart. We dont actually take competitors coupons. We will price match a coupon that has the physical price that you will pay at register for an item. Like there are several walgreens coupons with a price on them and other small time business's do this as well. Then we just treat it as an add in a circular.
@brokeslacker My fiance works at Walmart and they are takeing Commpetors Coupons now. I used to work their and they didnt but they are now. better check out Walmart.com and look at the new Coupon Policy=) even my Fiance told me it to because he knows how much I coupon
@jsrcamp Like I said...ONLY the ones with an actual price on them. We still dont take the ones that say a certain price off an item or anything like that. It has to have the actual price on the coupon so we can do the coupon as an ad match. We can't get money for other stores coupons through a manufacturer so we ad match them. We can also do the buy one get one free as an add match but thats about it. If it says a certain dollar amount off we still dont take it.
@brokeslacker hi I have now used a compettors coupon from Target and they scanned the coupon and it gave me the 1.00 off the item. I also used it for a 2.00 off a specific item and it took it also. is your store now taken them? I dont know if it is just up here wher I live that is using the new coupon policy or what,
@jsrcamp Some competitor coupons will say manufacture coupon on them and those are the ones that can be accepted. If they do not say manufacture coupon on them they are not suppose to take them. Most of the competitor coupons that say manufacture coupon on them will ring up at the register.
Great tips! I'm not sure where you live, but the Walmarts in Southern California will not take printable coupons. I was told by the manager there was too much fraud with the printable coupons, so they stopped taking them.
@OneHappyBird123 realy wow. you should go to their web site and print their coupon policy and bring it to them and show them that walmart does ecept printable coupons. as far as I know they have to take them.
When I worked at Albertson's (I confess years ago) the cashiers were told if it says manufacture coupon to take it. It just meant that Target or Walmart or whoever just wanted the customer to think they had to go there instead of look for the cheapest price. At that time it was corporate that told me that, and that we want them to shop here not there so take it.
Print the companies rules about coupons and carry it around with you (most of us who do coupons regularly carry a binder system). PS.. I can't hear you at all. You need to speak up.
Yay! :) That meat coupon is fantastic. The price of that specific product varies from store to store (it was 3.29 where I live) and makes such a fantastic deal :).
I had a question about coupons you can get instore/online- For instance, I know sometimes at Target, the coupon will say, redeem at Target, or have the Target symbol on it, but then in some cases, it says manufacturers coupon as well, does this mean I can use it at any store? I know that the ones that only have target on it are target only coupons, but it confuses me when they have both the store and the "manf. coupon" on it. Thank you so much- Love your videos-you explain things very well :)
@jjg32f44 It is a Target coupon, and most stores won't accept it. Shopko will accept competitor's coupons. In the video I say that you can't price match a competitor's coupon at Walmart, BUT technically you can. It's just that most cashiers won't let you do it since they aren't aware of the policy on Walmart's site that says: Walmart accepts competitor's in-store coupons. Especially if it says "manufacturer's coupon" they should accept it, but I have bad luck at my Walmart with this.

That is THE biggest binder I have seen in my life.
I wish our cashiers here were like the Albertsons ones cooksalot1 mentioned, ours look for ANY reason NOT to take a coupon. It's so frustrating.
