I'm aware of the fact that Yamaha's American division went with the cutesy EZ = easy that we are seeing at the moment, but in English, the letter is pronounced 'zed'. 'Zee' is used in the modern American dialect of English. Americanised English has many differences from the original language, including this pronunciation and many others.
Hi. nice work! Do you have any idea how to get the LEDs to light up in different scales for learning? there was a script on the kvr website but the links are all out of date.
I don't know sorry - I never used this as a learning guitar as I played for 12 years before I even bought this! I know the answer lies in SysEx though, as that is what messages the guitar likes to make it light and do other such things.
Great man! Can you do midi files with this guitar, and can you, for example, put a midi file in the guitar as a background theme, so you can jam a long! Thx for this clip! Keep on posting!
I remember some people on KVR talking about this - there is a way you can put any MIDI files into it but to make the frets light up it would have to contain the special SysEx data Yamaha uses to do this.
