how to format your dsi system memory

hmm so if i format my dsi (cuz i think it has a virus) i wont lose the dsi shop account right?

btw: when i way virus i mean that fr example: i play zelda: the four swords aniversary edition, and after i finish playing EVERYTHING says that an error ocurred... and until i enter on everything (because at least 1 of them should open and fix the massive error) but then it occurs again... same for any game that uses WC

@goldenkid1000 I believe that the account is maintained. After you have formatted. When you format it says that you should delete the account before, because it will not be removed.

will this delete updates? I bought a 50 in 1 game in hong kong on vacation and my dsi hasn't been updated and my friends has and the game won't work on it.
