How do you like the Behringer VTM? I am thinking of buying one for what I have seen and heard on you tube it looks and sounds pretty good! Let me know please.
i like it alot, its great to boost and shape your sound plus its also has noise gate. this pedal will turn your non tube amp to warm sound vacum tube.but dont expect to play metal by using this pedal. this pedal is only suit for classic rock and warm blues sound.
but if you want more aggresive sound, change the stock tubes. thats all man!!
Yup,i replaced the lz3 active w/ Duncan JB+lil 59..it was simple man
Disable the active mid-cut EQ switch..connect the wiring from output jack straight to the pickup. and you could change the mid cut EQ switch with mini toggle to split/paralel the PU
i like this guitar because its got fixed bridge, flame maple top on mahagony body, and great neck profile..the active pickup is good actually, but i didn't really into active pickup..so i replace them with passive..
so..its really good guitar for a good price eventually..
active: need battery power, less noise/hum, less defined unique tonal signature, you can't modify the wiring pickup if you want to explore your PU sound such as series, paralel etc....passive:no need battery, more expressive tone, you can explore the wiring possibilities

Awesome playing!
If you wanted to change the pickups for EMGs or Blackouts or something, would you have to replace the 1.5v battery compartment for a 9v one first?
DJParkesie959II 2 years ago
Thanks alot man...
EMGs or Blackout is already use 9v Batt....so theres no problem with the battery compartment
indrakuda 2 years ago
Yeah, but the stock pickups on this guitar run on 1.5v, so I thought you'd have to replace the battery compartment to work with 9v ones.
DJParkesie959II 2 years ago
Actually I tried the active loz3 ibz pickup/stock PU only for 3 days after i bought this guitar...and then i replaced them with duncans/passive
indrakuda 2 years ago
So if you used passive pickups, would you have to bypass the battery compartment and the EQ?
DJParkesie959II 2 years ago
yup.. i replaced the EQ with mini toggle (series/split/paralel)
