A nice looking and protection case, unfortunately the chrome paint pils and the chrome edge on the bottom part crackes easily.

This a great looking case but after about a month, mine cracked on the bottom piece by the speakers. This was just with normal use. I'm sure I can return it and maybe I was just unlucky,,,I'll try again with a replacement

and once the down slide gets rubbed and loose, you end up always getting a new case, coz your down slider would keep getting loose ....its crap!

i got it, the case its nice but does add some bulk, i got tired of it, sliding the iphone in an outw ill scratch it, i had inviisble shield their at the time but it made it super hard to push in and out

so i return it and now using apple brand 5th gen pouch that came witht he 5th gen ipod haha

The original version of this scratched my phone to hell. When a little bit of dirt or dust gets it and you take the phone it gets so scratched. Also little particles of dirt make small scratch like dents when pressure is put on the phone. Also, the leather peeled of and got annoying so I peeled it all off and it left a nice shiny black plastic finish which was a nice surprise.

I have it and i'm about to get my iphone, but what you're telling me about the griffin elan form leather is really scaring me.......i really don't want to scratch my new iphone.

I think it was $1100 at the time of purchase about a year ago. You can probably get camcorders pretty comparable to it for a little over $600 now
