  • Wrong. Vatican II is in fundamental respects discontinuous with genuine Catholic doctrine. As is the CCC. Exhibit A: para. 841.

The latest Novus Ordo translation is lipstick on a pig. The fundamental problem with it isn't any translation. The fundamental problem rests with the Novus Ordo itself, whether it's in Latin or not. To understand, begin by reading these:

Open Letter to Confused Catholics, by Abp. Marcel Lefebvre

    &

The Catechism of the Crisis in the Church, by Fr. Matthias Gaudron

  • This is a great video! :D Thank God!

  • This is NOT a debate, it's a total ridiculization of a critical position! People opposed to the new translation DO NOT think this way.

  • lol! This is the worst representation of both sides of the arguement, I sincerely hope this is a joke!

  • I like playing with the snow flakes

  • Before the 2nd vat council. in particular the majority of school students had nuns teaching ,who knew latin and taught us what was said at mass and explained it to us. We knew what was " going on ". Next year will be the 50th annivercery of V-2. In 50 yrs liturgicly the mass will be tridentine. The sprit of the 60's ,as well as the sprit of V-2 ,ie opening the window and letting the air get in was prelist.

  • Thank God I left the church after reading Buddhist teachings saying:"All that have a beginning also have an end", guess, yes, I'll burn in eternal hell...NOT!!!

  • lol

Lord, protect us from the machinations of the evil one. = Lord, keep us from selfishness? duh?

  • great video! loved it : )

  • 'Are you out of your mind?!...' 'Where is it in Vatican II that I can't reach behind your eye sockets and rip out your brain..'

  • 'just shut up and listen, moron' oh these lines are just too funny

  • LOL!

I love the fact that the man is the same generation which opposes it...

  • This was great!

  • "You glittering jewel of ignorance." Love it!

  • balt221, the Orthodox churches and the Assyrian Church of the East also have a valid Eucharist.

  • @disputationist Those churches can work magic too? magicians are everywhere!

  • "You are pre-conciliar"..."You glittering jewel of ignorance." Hilarious!

  • So the vid is about a Lefebvrian and progressive vs. the real traditional teachings from the Church and Vatican II? :)

  • LOL!!! "Original Latin"!!!!! This is like watching two idiots arguing!

Free Hint: Long before Trent (where the Church allowed Her enemies to define Her) there was the "original" Divine Liturgy.

But this is all a moot point. Once the ending of the Mass was changed from, "The Mass has ended. Go in peace to love and serve the Lord" to "The Mass has ended" the Church has been on a downward spiral.

  • "Shut up and listen ... moron" LOL :)

  • LOL. cute.

  • Love this! Looking forward to the more accurate translations. The problem was not with Vatican II but the misimplemintation of it. Great video!! Holy Spirit bring the Catholic Church a new Pentecost!

  • Agreed...this is an oversimplification of the arguments against the translation and misses the point to bring a clever media approach to bring clarity. Shame. Because it is a very good idea...just poorly implemented

  • Well, here we go! Another argument over the Catholic Mass!

  • let's just go back to the Latin mass........

  • @kiddtut Latin mass? Who wants to go see such a new innovation? I demand the Greek mass like it was in the very beginning!

  • @TheEuropeanWarrior Maybe you should respond to what is meant rather than what is said. If you are willfully flippant and looking only to score points, you sin. (If not, then not.)

  • Just go back to the way our forefathers worshipped. The Tridentine Mass. Problem solved.

  • Did it occur to you that "et cum spiritu tuo" is the original of the Mass you are now celebrating? Or is it your contention that only the Mass celebrated in the current translation in the English language is the only one that does not insult the Holy Spirit? Your problem is not with the new translation, but with the Novus Ordo as promulgated by Pope Paul VI, which says "et cum spiritu tuo."

  • I shall never declare more than one spirit, by giving a response 'And with your spirit'. Never shall I. It would hurt Jesus. One body, one Spirit in Him. Amen

  • @BritishSnail Your body is just flesh. How do you think the Church declares someone a saint when their body is buried in the ground? What would then be in heaven? Their ascended stomach? lol. It's their unique God-created spirit. We all have both a spirit and a body. This is how we were created in God's image. It's what separates us from the apes.

  • @BrigidGa5 I find you to be presumptive, aggressive and unhelpful. Thankfully my faith is strong, but you could upset and negatively affect others, or those new to faith, so be careful please. God has helped me with this matter a long time ago and I shan't bore you with those details.

  • @BrigidGa5 You totally misunderstood the depth and sincerity of the problem I 'was' having, which is a failing on your part and on the part of your arrogance. This is not good 'for Jesus'.

  • Total misrepresentation of the criticisms against the new translation. The statements from "Larry King" are ridiculous and do not represent the thoughts of moderate Catholics in America. They are merely strawmen set up so that "Sarah Palin" can cut them down. Totally bogus.

  • Great video, I'm looking forward to the new translation and the birth of what Vatican really intended in regards to the ordinary form of the Roman Rite!

  • that said... the video was really funny

  • As a very conservative Catholic of the diocese of Erie, I would like to defend my bishop. Just as Larry King misrepresented the Second Vatican Council, so he misrepresented my bishop. Bishop Trautman is a very pious and loving bishop who, though he was opposed to the translation, is not opposed to the hierarchy of the Church. Once the new translation was approved, he put aside his original misgivings and dedicated himself to supporting the decision of his brother bishops and the Holy father

  • @jpower002 Why would he be opposed to the new translation if he is very pius and loving?
