Ya, you can do this another way. Go to The Storm Peaks to the town where you are transformed into a viking and mount up. Enter a BG/Arena. At the end of the BG/Arena be in what ever form you want to be (tree, moonkin, bear, cat, travel) mounted as. When you come out go fly out of the town and you will still be in form on your flying mount.

i know of another way you can be a boomkin on a drake. You must have a epic mount and epic flying skill and must fly to the bottom right of shadowmoon valley and get the buff to get a drake mount and turn into a orc. Land on the ground in that arena and dismount and turn into boomkin. You will still look like an orc but have the boomkin aura, so mount up and fly out of the arena and the orc buff will fade so you turn into boomkin but the drake buff will not fade.

Get the curse in Wetlands that makes u look like an ghost thingie, hs to shattrath, switch to moonkin, mount and w8 for the curse to wear off

There is still a way people! i have done it on my moonkin! requires engineering transporter to Area 52 or the stupid gnome place if you get the debuff that makes you an ally/horde wait till its like 1minute left

go to a populated spot "like shat" mount up in moonkin form wich you can do cause your skin will be an ally/horde and when the buff goes BAM MOONKIN FLYING

6. Mount / Wait for debuff to run out

7. There ya go :D

another way to fly in any form, even mount up, and fight is: get a mage to duel u-first mount up on ur flying mount- make him polymorph u- then frost nova u- then cone of the cold- as soon as ur novad and polymorphed, keep hitting space, wen they both break, u will be able to swim through the air, u can land and then fly again, u can use ground mount but not flying mount. u can change forms and even pvp. (Note: i cant remember if its polymorph first or frost nova)

There is one other way and it involves the Gnomish Toshley Station Teleport (dont know about the Goblin one). But when you use it you have a chance to get the debuff that changes you into a different model, IE Gnome, Troll, Orc, Draenei,ect. While under this debuff you can shift into Moonkin and mount up, then 1h later (yes its a little longer to do) the debuff will fade and presto, Moonkin on a mount. Be careful not to change into anyother form but Moonkin, as it will dispell it.

I didnt use it in Shatt... I flew all the way there from Blade's Edge. If you dismount or do anything, then you lose it, but it allows you to mount initially, then you can fly anywhere you want.
