A lot better then any of last week's monologues. I find it odd he's gone back to making fun of celebrities for being old or fat, especially after his Britney Speers monologue a year ago. Maybe he should rewatch that every now and again to keep himself in check.
He never said he wouldn't make fun of celebrities. He only said that he wouldn't make fun of celebrities in genuine trouble. This is ok in my book. Nothing mean about it
Actually he said comedy should have a certain joy to it, and that he should be attacking the powerful and the blowhards, like politicians or Donald Trump. Kirsty Alley has obvious weight and eating problems. How is that different to someone being teased about having alcohol or drugs problems? Both are chronic illnesses and addictions. So my comment stands, and you can mark it down all you want, but you'll just be denying that Craig is going against his own word.
The difference is that Kirstie made a huge point of telling the world how she'd changed her lifestyle all because of Jenny Craig and that she'd never get that heavy again, and then she proceeded to gain back every pound she lost. The ridicule she gets is deserved.
The ridicule for someone who relapses is never deserved. If Craig relapsed, he wouldn't deserve the snide bullying of the media, though he will undoubtedly get it. Craig made a point of not going after Britney Speers for reasons I've mentioned, and to paraphrase him, "I think his aim has been off recently".
I hear you KJ, but it's kinda hard to feel sympathetic towards someone addicted to food. I do believe it is different from Alcohol and drug problems, in that it is easier to tackle.
Me too! I still laugh at last week's map of Narnia, surrounded by Heaven, Wankers, Protestant Drunks and Catholic Drunks XD THIS map kicks that one's ass though. Isn't it adorable how you can always tell when he goes to Scotland? His accent really does thicken quite a bit.
Yesss, that map was the funniest out of all the maps shown so far! I totally "LOLed" when I saw that, and kinda spit out my cereal during the process.
But yeah, his accent is totally sexy and I love when it becomes more Scottish-sounding! hehe
he makes me proud to be scottish. :]
