When I was a kid, I only thought that he appeared in Cerrito Auto Square commercials. It wasn't until lately I've discovered he's been in more. Man, I loved this guy as a kid because he was so funny. Heck, I still laugh at his antics today. I loved the part where he just grabs Vern's hamburger and begins eating it. Fantastic stuff.

@sygo7g I hate applebees, I had to go there once and the portions for the price were small and the food tasted awful, I sudder to return there. But friendlys is much better than that crap applebees pushes. I'm just mad that it costs so much, and they no longer serve breakfast all day. you can buy a gallon of ice cream for the cost of a sundae there, and like 6 wendys burgers and 2 small fries for the cost of 1 of theirs, buger plates.. though I'd Love to try a country fried steak sand.

Up in new england we got Friendly's near as can tell it's almost exactly as Braums. I have to stop watching Mr. Varney's work I'm getting real sad since he's my fav actor and he fell asleep. i miss Hey Vern it's ernest the most.

His commercial work for Braum's are the first commercials I remember from my toddler years in the Dallas area. And every time I'm back visiting family and I step foot in a Braums to get a burger or some ice cream or dairy (they have the best eggnog of anyone who sells it in a carton), I think of those and miss Jim Varney. *sniff*
